His ability to pick up blocks and catching the skin out of the back field is definitely underrated by most

I think he's the best screen back in the game when healthy. I just think our screens have become very stale. Teams seem to be almost waiting on them now.

Probably the best way to describe why I hope PT is still on the bench of used very differently. It was especially evident against the Seahawks. 4 carries for 0 yards, 4 catches for 21 yards. That's not going to get it done.

who says he wouldn't have run well tonight though?

I get what you're saying though.

but the O-line was just getting off the ball a lot quicker in this game.

that Philly defense was supposed to be pretty stout against the run.. but I think our O-line just took it to them.

Maybe he would've but he's struggled mightily, and I rather see the two faster, fresher runners be getting the ball. Also I think 2 will run better than 3 at this point with the same number of carries.

Which was very evident in the few qb sneaks Brees had... he looked to get 3 yards on each one

Again, I think he's still a good player, but on the season:
PT: 3.7YPA
Ingram: 4.9YPA
Sproles: 4.2YPA
Khiry: 4.1YPA

And while PT's screen game is big (which makes up for the low YPA), you also have to consider that teams know that Ingram and Robinson were running the ball, so they're clearly more effective running the ball.

The Eagles run defense was pretty bad this year

No they weren't.

but part of the reason for that is because teams could throw on them.

4th best in YPA, which doesn't really have much to do with that.

Like I said earlier in thread. 2 guys who just turned 24, with not a lot of carries, who both run hard, who seem to also be pretty good... In January.

Seattle can be run on.

We're unstoppable with a great running game.

Yeah, besides the Saints game, the few games I've watched of theirs, they were getting gashed. Only remember Zac Stacy.

Seriously though, have you seen how pumped and excited he is after every positive play?
He is stoked and totally in the game. He has a winning attitude and mindset right now and that is a great asset to have in a player in the playoffs.

sure it does.

if you can beat them throwing, no need to run it as much.

the run yardage total won't pile up as much.

I just think the O-line played a lot better tonight. I don't know if PT would have balled out tonight but.. the O-line had a more physical presence tonight.

I feel like he would have done just fine tonight.

but I think St. Aug brings up a good point, don't ignore the other guys and forget what happened tonight.

I love how Robinson has been able to get yardage against stacked boxes. He's done it in about 3 games this year. HE's our only back that can do that. He should get the majority of the carries vs SEA because that is the kind of back that beats them
