The only thing that's delusional is NOT thinking he's a top QB this year.
he's played 6 games bro. he was having this kind of season last year thru 5 games? what happened?

If the Saints can keep winning, this would be the year for Brees to do it. Rodgers is shitting the bed in Green Bay, David Johnson could be a contender for it, he's on fire at the moment. Matt Ryan would probably be the favorite right now just because the Falcons have a winning record.

The same Matt Ryan that's leading the NFL by over 200 yards more than any other QB in the league?
He's not even 1st in the NFC South in ypg. That is Drew Brees

The same Matt Ryan that's leading his NFC South team to a 4-2 (should be 5-1) record?
It is a long season. How'd the Falcons start last year?

All while still being #4 on the most sacked list this season.
You realize that is also on the QB, right? You think Drew, Brady, and Manning just magically don't get sacked every year
Julio is the best player on the Falcons

Well if we want to play the "that should/shouldn't be pass interference" then the Saints are 4-1.

I would take David Johnson over Zeke

Drew's YPG will likely go down after he plays Denver and Seattle.

If Matt Ryan wins a MVP trophy before Brees...
Granted, Matt Ryan through 5 games(or whoever many it's been) has been better than Brees has ever been in any full season(which is irrelevant), but let's be honest, there's a 0% chance he keeps up this pace, as it would likely go down as the GOAT QB season if he did.
He'll regress to the mean.

Key word was already. The future is looking for Matty Ice over the next few years. Gonna be a sad story for NO fans when he wins 2+
I think I read this same post like 4 years or so ago, the last time the Falcons were "on the rise." It was then followed by multiple years of self depreciating double down... I'm sure we'll see that again soon enough.

That is false. Do you not remember Brees during the second half of the season in 2011?
He was ridiculous
8 game stretch to close the year out went as follows:
27 TD
4 INT
121.6 passer rating
71.97 comp %
341.25 YPG

But I also said that's irrelevant and his 16 game numbers will certainly regress.

My bad. I read it as a certain stretch of games. My fault

Wouldn't go that far:
Ryan's stats projected over 16 games:
5,533 yds, 40 TDs, 11 TOs, 68.1% completion percentage
Drew in 2011:
5,476 yds, 46 TDs, 14 TOs, 71.2% completion percentage
So fewer TOs & more yards, but less TDs and a lower completion percentage. Definitively MVP worthy if he carries it through, but those stats are too far fetched to think anyone would do that (even when Brees did it)

Well, even if ATL makes it to the playoffs this season, that's a win in my book. Most had us 2nd or 3rd in the NFC South this year.
Here is your problem. Ryan is one player away from disaster as a passer. I either Sanu or Julio gets hurt, his numbers will change drastically. Tamme while being a very good receiving TE should not be relied on if that happens.
Ryan does not have Roddy White or Harry Douglas anymore

Julio? Yes. Sanu? No. The way they are spreading the ball around the only loss would be Julio.
The two backs have been big for the passing game this year.

You iz dumb. You should watch ATL this year and see how much we fling it around to numerous people. Surprised you didn't see a lot of that in the arse whooping we put on the saints.

no Julio completed Ryan - Roddy and Tony got him started.

Because Julio doesn't make it much easier to throw to other players on the field.
You've become a bore on this board.

Fixed it for you. This statement can be said for any team. Good day, sir.
