You go back in time to 2003 or so and tell patriots

You can have Brady until 2020 if you give up 2 years of picks

If not you will have sucky qbs

Does Brady survive the next couple years though and emerge as the guy we know?

can't be coincidental that Burrow all of sudden loves the Saints and Brees is talking about him, right?

Or it’s just good network ratings for all involved

I think you guys are missing the more obvious prospect. In fact there's two..

1) Helaire
2) Jefferson

CEH should be available in the 2nd round and possibly Jeff in the first. I think the Saints could use the hell out of either guy and wouldn't have to mortgage the future on one guy hopefully staying healthy.

Bengals

The hope is that NYG ends up with that pick and is more inclined to trade as they have Jones

Trade one leg Kamara, Lattimore, and a 1st and some other draft picks. Saints should at least seriously entertain getting rid of Kamara. Big contracts for RBs have been really bad for teams recently.

With Reggie White, Lawrence Taylor, Ronnie Lott & Rod Woodson all in their prime on defense.

Pull a Ricky Williams draft.

Mike Brown passed on the Williams trade and picked Akili Smith. WON'T HAPPEN.

I’m just going to keep copying and pasting this in all these dumbass threads.

Joe Burrow is the consensus pick for the Bengals.

NFL mockdraft database has about a thousand mock drafts saying Burrow will be the #1 pick by the Bengals.

NFL Draft Value Chart

The value of the #1 pick is 3,000 points this year.

Total value of every Saints pick for 2020 equals 911 points. It would likely take every pick this year and next year which still probably would not be enough.

You’d probably have to trade every pick this year, next year and someone like Lattimore or Kamara or Thomas. Plus, the Bengals are notoriously stingy when it comes to trades, so it’ll take more than what a normal team would want.

None of this is happening. Let. It. Go. We can all like Burrow and be huge fans of his. But it’s not happening. Come to grips with it.

Cam is like 30 if somebody’s dumb enough to take him you move him.

He’s a great player but 3-4 years from cam <<15 years with Burrow.

The only way I see the Bengals considering the trade would be centering it around Thomas and picks.

The idea of Aj green and Thomas together would be very tempting for them.

To re-state. The obvious,
Burrow will not be drafted by the Saints.

We should offer them Jason David, Darren Sharper, Devery Henderson and Willie Roaf. That’ll do it. Because LSU and crap.

I think it would actually be worth it, if Burrow is as good as he looks.

We'd risk taking a short-term drop, but we have a comfortable lead in the NFC West right now (and I mean that in terms of organization, not just standings). We'd drift back to the pack a little while, but I don't think we'd be out of contention during that stretch.
