But Loomis controls the compensation of the Draft Picks….
He has final say !!
For example, after picking Banks in 1st rd…. Moore wanted to jump back in the 1st rd and Draft Dart from Ole Miss.
Loomis agreed to try.. but decided draft compensation requested by teams was too high and Loomis killed the deal !

Loomis isn’t making these calls without talking to coaches. You think Loomis was making calls on who to sign and what to give up? Coaches are involved in this. It’s absolutely moronic to think Moore didn’t know and sign off on this. Is it a great move? IMO not great but to blame only Loomis just makes you sound like a blabbering idiot

If true, saints should have just drafted the QB with their first round pick. If you don’t have a viable qb on your roster, you are drafting, and there is a qb on the board with a first round pick, just take the qb.

It is true…. I’ve stated on this forum several times that during the 1st rd of the draft, after Banks was selected, Deuce McCallister stated on WWL the Saints were trying to trade back into round 1 to draft a QB.
It was later stated the target was Dart !!
I heard McCallister make the comment myself.

My source told me Shough was the target days before the draft. I made a thread with the info that was right on the money. And if Banks wasn’t there, they were taking the guard from Bama.
Maybe they called about moving up for Dart and the price was too high so they didn’t bother. But I was told days before the draft it was going to be Shough.
The rumor was they called to see about moving up for the qb out of Miami and the price was way to high.

I could care less if the draft picks are in different draft years.
That doesn’t minimize the fact he is Still giving up Draft Picks.
If they were 6th rd and 7th rd picks… I would still be upset because Every pick is needed … but Loomis gave up a 4th Rd pick !!!
