Multiple players had drug tests flagged at the NFL Combine & among those is projected top 10 pick #Louisville OT Mekhi Becton, I’m told. Teams were made aware of this. Becton had no failed drug tests in college. Per new CBA rules, he goes into Stage 1 for no more than 60 days

I think there might be some defensive line action with san francisco at #13. They don't have many holes on that team but replacing Buckner whom they just traded for to receive the pick kinda makes since to me.

Lynch is a defensive minded guy that line is already loaded so why not a derek brown or Kinlaw there??

I think with all the confusion going on with not being able to do pro days and what have you teams picks could end up being all over the place.

Rapoport:

LINK

I had a GM tell me, “The media is wronger about mock drafts this year than you guys have ever been.” Point being, players are going to be taken in places no one expects.

Yep I saw that. I think we are going to see some mega melts on here

I kind of want Austin Jackson. He can play guard even though he’s mostly been a tackle. Adds flexibility. I think he’d beat out Warford before the halfway mark of the season

Austin jackson will be pretty solid but the only reason I think he's getting a first round grade is bc of a weak o line class.

16. ****Trade**** New Orleans Saints: LSU edge rusher K'Lavon Chaisson Who said the Saints don't like LSU players. They move up in the draft again for an edge rusher. Doesn't mean they are giving up on Marcus Davenport simply adding more firepower off the edge. The Saints send the Jets a 2nd round pick this year and swap first round picks with the Jets.

Legit might be the dumbest mock I’ve seen. Plus we don’t even have a 2nd round pick this year.

I wouldn't make a move for him but if he fell to us I'd be more than fine with drafting Chaisson. I don't think he's came anywhere close to reaching his full potential yet.

Davion Taylor, LB Colorado is a guy to look for. Under the radar LB who can flat fly- 4.49 40 time and can cover sideline to sideline. His religious beliefs kept him from playing much high school ball so there is serious untapped potential there. Has some tools and you can't deny his ability to move

Ross Blacklock, DT TCU is a guy shooting up draft boards. Really good size, can play on the interior, and is just incredibly disruptive inside. Wrecks havoc. Can never have enough bodies on the defensive line. Would love this kid

Yeah blacklock would be a nice addition to the line and help us stuff the run. Dude is a beast. The saints could go so many ways with this first pick. Can't wait to see what they do.

This is going to be a really interesting draft. I feel like these mocks won’t be close to where the teams have players rated.

If he is there in the 3rd, most definitely. Doubt he will be though.

Which makes me less and less confident there will be any trades this year

I am seeing a lot of Jordan Love mocks lately. Even quotes coming out of the Saints website.

donotwant.

edit

"3 players the New Orleans Saints should avoid in the upcoming NFL Draft"

"Number Two: Jordan Love

Jordan Love is a six-foot-four quarterback from Utah State. Love seems like everyone’s favorite quarterback prospect not named Joe Burrow in recent reports, but I’m here to tell you his numbers and throwing abilities are a bit deceiving.

Love has a strong arm, there’s no denying that, but how good is his accuracy with that powerful arm?

Jordan Love completed just 31 percent of his deep throws in his college career, making his deep ball relatively ineffective.

Love, in my best comparison, is a lot like Jameis Winston. You will see your flashes of greatness from him, but on the next drive, he will throw an interception that makes you wonder what happened.

The Saints don’t need to draft a quarterback they hope can they coach up and improve, but instead draft a guy they know will succeed at the next level under their guidance.

Jordan Love also struggles with off-target snaps leading to more fumbles and turnovers.

Love is a strong-armed signal-caller, but he comes with his baggage. The Saints need a young quarterback who can sit behind Drew Brees and take over the reins once he’s done, and I’m not sold on Jordan Love being that guy."

I think if he is there at 24 (I do not think he will be), you have to at least get used to the concept. I could really really see CSP being very tempted, especially since he will get a year to sit behind Drew, and Drew won't feel threatened since he is planning to retire soon anyway. You have to think CSP loves the physical upside.

If they move up for him I'll be a little hot, but if they stay put I will be cautiously optimistic.
