Well in all fairness,
Mayfield has Mike Evans & Emeka Ebuka
Also Godwin when healthy.
Not to mention a pretty good o-line.
Now ask yourself, how well would Mayfield done with Dennis Allen?
FYI, I wanted him more than Carr

Glad I stuck up for Baker in that thread.
My plan after Brees was to sign a bunch of former starting qbs for cheap contracts and let them battle it out.
I mentioned Baker a few times, along with Minshew and Bridgewater. It’s mostly to get us out of the red.
We could easily be the Bucs if we did that drafted better.

Guess you could say the same for Tom Brady. When you got the weapons you are bound to be good.

Baker wouldn’t be the answer for this team either. This is a rebuild and baker would probably have us good enough to pick 15th.
Baker and Carr both were / would have been mistakes as long as Dennis Allen was the coach. This reset is what is needed.

I don’t think Carr is a bad qb. I would not have had a problem getting him if Payton was still our coach. I think he would have got the most out of him.
I just thought it was a massive overpay for what we paid him and at the time our organization was no where near in position to do it.
It goes back to Loomis trying to save face for naking a horrible coaching hire….

Lol you must be new. I was the #1 anti Carr poster. Back in those days this board was in love with Derek. You couldn’t say anything negative towards Derek or the facepainters would come at you with their pitchforks

Never wanted to sighn Carr.
I was always a Baker fan.
But he wouldnt have done anything here.
