That WR room is brutal. 2021 was worse but damn, that's some sorry arse WRs.

They'll be a few talented WR's that get cut in the next 48 hours. The Saints will be one of the teams with may be attractive to them not because we are going to any championship but because they will likely see a lot of field time here as we are only 3 deep at WR and a least 1 of those is injured.

I think they pick up at least 1-2 guys from other teams after cutdowns though

Mostly depends on what ends up out there. There's at least 6 positions(rb, wr, oline, d tackle, safety, punter) that probably would be upgraded from roster cuts around the league.

I think Rattler and Haener are neck and neck and clearly Rattler has more upside. With Taysom on the roster as your emergency QB anyway, I don’t see the big need to keep Haener. I would try to trade him first obviously but I don’t think it’s a huge deal if he gets picked up before he can be put on PS.

Haener has improved since his rookie year. Till I see his ceiling I'm keeping him.

Wouldn't mind the Saints dealing for Metchie, should be a low cost.

Games are won and lost in the trenches. These players don’t scare anyone except the fans.

The ends aren't spectacular but it's fine. The other two are mostly junk.

I wouldn't build a oline with any of those but Fuaga.

Granderson Breese and Young are a good start on any dline.

To say Haener is 2 over rattler is bs. Each of rattler's possessions were scoring drives. Heaner was given every opportunity to win the job. Rattler has looked sharper.

Hedley might be the worst starting punter in the entire NFL the last decade. No idea how that arse clown got the job over Giliken.

most teams don't and we have Taysom who looks comfortable in that role

I like Rico Payton to make this team over Shamar Jean Charles

Would rather Payton or Amadi over Jean Charles.

I had Amadie locked on my 53 man to start camp after I thought he did fine last season, but he didn't seem to have his name called much during camp and I don't recall him making any significant plays in preseason games, but I did see him miss a tackle.

Of those 3, Rico Payton has showed the most in preseason games.

Several of these players come down to if the team IRs Kendre Miller or Nick Saldaveri to start the season so they wouldn't count against the cap too.

What I think we'll look for from other team cuts;
--TE. We cannot rely on Juwan Johnson at this point. Foster is okay but not exactly starter material from a receptions standpoint. Holker is just a 3rd TE at this point
--Run stuffing DT. Saunders & Shepherd didn't do that very well last year
--Punter, Havey/Harvin from the 49ers to be specific. If not go with Hayball over Hedley
--S opposite Mathieu, unless Kool-Aid is healthy and can start there. Howden I thought would step up & challenge Johnathan Abram for the starting spot but he just didn't make enough plays while Abram has made some. Will Harris is making his case for best option right now also. Johnathan Abram had a few passes defended, but he pissed me off by celebrating Nacua's FG return and cost him the TD by not turning around and blocking
--OT, I think Penning will be serviceable. Fuaga didn't look quite as good in game 3 as he did game 1 but I'm banking he'll be fine. Both are starters I believe we can still win with but we need a legit backup OT option in case either get hurt or underperform
--WR 3...I do think we have some talent to hang on to in AT Perry, Bub Means, Mason Tipton, and even EQ St.Brown to battle it out for 4/5/6 spots. But right now only vet WR3 looks to be Cedric Wilson, sounds like he's earning his spot the Tre'Quan Smith route by his blocking but I haven't seen anything to have confidence in him being a playmaker at WR3.
