He'd be #5 behind Taysom

While I hope I am wrong, I am not sure Taysom takes a meaningful snap, at least not at RB, this season.

He's 35 with a bit of mileage and coming off a torn ACL. If anyone can come back from that full bore, it'd be Taysom, though

I don't disagree with you. Many don't like my opinion on the Taysom situation. The issue would be that if we have a healthy Kamara/ Taysom then we need to abuse them on offense otherwise it is pointless to have them wasting roster spots. Just move on at that point.

CEH would be a better keep than Jamal Williams was the last couple of years.

Well that's not saying much.

Saints score three tuds the entire preseason. Clyde was a key factor in one. Of course they cut him. Don’t even try to tell me Saints don’t hate LSU. I hope Clyde rushes for 200 yards and three tuds against the Saints wherever he lands. frick this team.

Lemme guess, you’re a pretentious snobby NOLA Ole Miss or Tulane fan? Those are actually the worst IMO.

I’ll always remember when CEH broke it off in the Saints defense a few years back when he played for the Chiefs. I remember thinking gosh I wished the Saints could’ve drafted CEH lol

You mean the whooping 79 yard game with no tds. Yeah really broke it off on the saints.

Lsu fans are seriously the worst

You realize we are perfectly ok with a really bad year this year right?

No one has expectations, and the 4th RB on the team isn't the difference between 1-16 and 16-1.

We would all rather young RBs get the reps behind Kamara to see if we have anything there.

We can bring back CEH any time we want. He doesn't need to clear waivers he's vested

He did look ok.

Somebody must be able too pass block, because with two uh....unproven QBs keeping people off their jittery arse is going to be important.

Especially with no FB, and 1 good blocking TE (Stoll), it's risky not to have a good vet at HB to catch blitzers coming through.

But CEH or another vet isn't likely to be back until after week 1 once the base salaries of the week one players are guaranteed.

Thats a great point. They dont need to see Clyde in a preseason game to know what his capabilities (and liabilities) are. He or another vet could be back after week 1 on a minimum deal.

Yeah, except learning in game when you are not good at it yet can get someone hurt REALLY bad (themselves included).

Not saying none or any of our young backs in particular can't pass block, but if they don't feel comfortable with the level they can do it at, they will bring in a vet who can.

This is a very odd reversed take you are giving compared to the "sit Shough and let him learn on the sideline" one. One can actually end someone's career. The other maybe costs us a few games if they feel Shough isn't up to speed.
