As bad as it is here. Still not as bad as Saints Report. Some clown on SR wants to cut Carr & bring Winston back as the starter

I’ll say this one more time.
Give Carr blocking and weapons and he would surprise most

Although I agree with the whole give Carr blocking etc. I’d take Winston back as a cheap option during this rebuild for sure

Why? It’s why we in this boat. Winston made 8-10 million last year. We paid him more than that the first time. We paying Rattler like a million a year. Why pay 10-12 million more a year for a qb that will get you basically the same results?

It’s what I’ve been saying since Brees retired to do. Go super cheap at qb until we get our cap in order. It was the only way out of this mess Loomis created and he’s put it off another 4 years and we still in the hole.

They should have never signed Carr. If they had just kept Winston the team is a lot closer to being out of cap hell. Carr was in no way upgrade over Winston

The primary objective needs to be to fix our cap issue and acquiring young talent while we do it.

Cut Carr this year or you cut him next. I like the former idea because it helps the primary objective of acquiring talent. We need to lose a lot.

Is Hurst a world beater at QB? No

A good draft this year with good coaching and players buying in and # 4 will surprise some of yall.

Quit bitching about him. He’s here another season at least. Face reality and pull for your team

Another clown there thinks Foskey with the new staff will have a breakout all pro year. And he’s getting upvotes in Mass!

Carr was not a bad qb last year. Saints had an absolute ton of injuries.

No, Carr isn’t worth his contract and he isn’t likely to take any team to a Super Bowl unless they are stacked at every other position, like the eagles.

But he was not bad when healthy last year.

Cutting him this year doesn’t help our cap situation. I think he has two years left here then we will see. Moore certainly will be looking for his qb.

Give me Winston just for the entertainment aspect over shite arse Carr. We are going to suck either way, may as well be entertaining.

You have to realize we are in a multi year situation to help our cap situation.

Cutting him this year doesn’t help cap space this year. It funds the cutting we would need to do next year on the rest of the roster.

You do realize we will be pushing more money into future this year just to get under the cap, right?

Carr is very good when he has great protection and isn’t under pressure. And has a run game with play action working.

You can win with him with that formula. He can’t carry a team on his back like most good qbs. Problem is Loomis has us in cap hell, so yiu can’t sign good free agents and he’s been drafting poorly for years.
