Yeah he had two within like 3 weeks. All 4 of them were "mild" concussions but eventually he will get them more frequently or will start trying to avoid them and will hurt his play.

Give me a 5th and I’ll help him pack.

Trading him for a 5th would be dumb. See if his value goes up.

At this point, it may be best to keep him and let him play. If he plays well, maybe a contender with some injuries at wide receiver will overpay for him in the middle of next season.

More concussions will kill any trade value that he has. I’d play him until the trade deadline and then trade him for whatever we can get for him. He isn’t a number 1 and will likely be looking for that type of money.

I was being a little facetious about the 5th round pick. He likely wouldn’t get anything above a 3rd or 4th.

I think at the moment it’s better to not extend him and just let him play until the situation improves.

Yeah he is probably done here sooner than later.

I liked the pick, proven, high level WR. Hey may be a little bigger than J Jefferson but his body cant take the NFL. Doesn help when your QB throws the ball to the exact spot where you get destroyed.

The Olave trade makes a ton of sense but is super complicated… the injuries/concussions have his value at its lowest. He is super talented but will be seen as a high risk acquisition/building block.

His 2025 hit is only 2.3% of the total salary budget. ($6,131,920 hit).

I feel like the play will be a draft day surprise trade or letting KM see what he can do to protect Olave. 2025 is a contract year so they’ve got to make long-term decisions very soon, if they decide he isn’t a part of the future then I think it’ll be a mid season move.

*Olave sitting out for a new deal is the only potential complicating factor

Olave - 24.5 yrs old
DA - 32 yrs old

That was a major detractor in the Adams trade.

He has to play and play well before we can trade him for anything but a day 3 draft pick. If he plays well the first month and so done offers a 2nd for him I would do it in a heartbeat. We have to start over and paying a WR is not something we need to do. We need to just write this season off, cut Carr and start Rattler and make good selections in this draft. We have to build this team back from nothing. I hope we draft on the OL and DL heavily then next year assuming we have a top 5ish pick is where you take your shot at a franchise QB. Rattler unfortunately is just the sacrificial lamb, a means to an end. He can be a good backup for a long time like Chase Daniel but he’s never going to be start beyond this season frick Carr.

Adams wasn’t on a rookie deal, but we aren’t getting what the OP wanted

Olave has only played 3 years. We can pick up his 5th year option for 2026 soon.

We had given up the farm that turned into an Eagles Lombardi last week.

The pumpers were still hopeful Loomis had found Jerry Rice and any criticism at that time is met with their only available recourse: the downvote.

He and his brother are about to force their way out of NOLA.

We’ll take less than full value like Chauncey Gardner to move on.
