Lance Moore made the career from being undrafted nobody

Tipton probably has the safest WR spot on the team whether he ends up WR3 or WR7.
Tipton and Ronnie Bell have a decent shot at being that guy.

Still looking for the next Lance. Maybe its who the qb feels most comfortable with cause otherwise it seems like a easy thing to do lol

I'm trading with Houston at 28 and getting their 2nd round pics. With the 28th I'll take a wr with a 5th year like a KC Conception, Boston or even a Bell. If not best Dlineman a available. To me this draft is full of B+ wr's.
Something like this? It took trading back twice to get to 22 lol. We both know Micky isn’t doing that shite though

Feel like Chris Bell is the most obvious pick ever

I honestly think we need to retool the entire WR room.
I know it’s not a popular opinion but I’ve never really cared for Olave. And then everything else under him is just mediocre

Tipton sucks, Kevin Austin Jr took his spot in the rotation quickly. Bell came off the bench on the last drive of the season and got a TD before him. He’s most likely getting cut unless he makes it for special teams return duties which is a wasted roster spot.
Olave is a lock.
Vele is a lock.
Alford is a lock.
Polk maybe a lock.
Austin Jr is a lock.
Palmer healthy is a lock
Bub means hasn’t been healthy enough to be a lock.
Then there’s the draft. Where we might get 2 guys
Pettis over Tipton, but both are expendable

Goodness that draft is awful

I have never been really high on Olave either, he had a better year than what I was expecting (especially once Tyler came in) though. I am still conflicted about giving him a big contract, because he is soft.
Having to go down and IMMEDIATELY avoid contact, plus an inability to make contested catches……makes a big contract sketchy.
I lean more towards giving him the contract now than I was after the 1st quarter of the season though….which is a credit to him.

Yea, once I traded back…..I tried to just let the draft “come to me”, but the way the board lined up at those picks wasn’t great.
I really like Concepcion and Lawrence though and I think Keionte Scott could take Alontae’s place. He seems to find the ball, and he’s not scared of contact.
I also really like Burks, great speed, good strong hands, and really good YAC. Really good at finding soft spots in the zone

Tipton has a limited ceiling. Austin Jr didn't take his place, he was put on IR. Tipton was 4/5 29yds and Kevin Austin Jr 2/3 18 yds in the game that Tipton left early. He also had an illness before the game. I think Austin Jr just got in at a good time against weaker opponents.

I agree with the top half of the list but I wouldn't call these locks. They are grouped with the rest.
Mason Tipton
Kevin Austin Jr
Bub Means
Trey Palmer
Ronnie Bell
Dante Pettis
Most of those guys have floated from practice squads or released by their previous team. Palmer/ Austin Jr could be higher end options from that group but not locks. Bub Means should be right there with them. This is going to be a fun WR camp and battle.

There are no locks outside of Olave and Vele. Alford hasn’t stepped on the field yet and can be easily cut if he doesn’t perform in camp. His contract is 3 yr $3M. I do think they see something in Polk. Polk was an early 2nd rounder in 2024 and was in a dumpster fire situation in New England. I do think Moore and Shough can turn his career around.

Keenan Allen is probably collecting social security at this point
Posted on 3/16/26 at 2:43 pm to SaintInBham
Keenan will probably end up on the West Coast. I'd imagine (1) of Juan Jennings/ Deebo end up on the 49ers. Titans have more money than us to pay WR's. Diggs/ Hollywood don't seem like the type to come here. Pretty much leaves Mooney as the most likely (especially after Atlanta released him).
This is true but there's a clear difference between Polk/ Alford vs everyone else. We traded for Polk (want him here) and we signed the #1 CFL pick from his hometown in Canada to a 3 year contract. Both of those guys have more upside than any other WR past Olave/ Vele. If we are really being honest they both could technically have more upside than 7th rd pick Vele too.
Every other WR has either appeared from our PS or came here after another team released them.
There's only (4) WR's on our roster that we went out of our way to get, haven't been cut by a previous team, and have higher potential than anyone else.
Olave/ Vele/ Polk/ Alford. Saying "lock" may be premature but there isn't a single reason to view other WRs higher than those guys until proven otherwise.

Emeka Egbuka (TB)
Isaiah Bond (CLE)

Olave had the 6th best “open” score in the league. Surprisingly to me, Diggs was 5th. Wonder what he will cost?
Polk was 153/159 in 2024. Vele was 149/160 in ‘25, and 69th in ‘24. Need to keep pushing

I want see more Ronnie Bell. Means is hurt too much. Tipton is a special player.

Probably more than we can afford but its a possibility. Diggs/ Jennings should get bigger deals than the rest.

Agreed. That's why I like the upside of Alford because nothing screams "getting open" like a 6'6" WR who is faster than 6' WR's. I think Polk/ Vele will get help from an improved OL and gaining more chemistry with Shough.

49ers Will no doubt be pretty good.
remains to be seen if they can dodge that dreaded injury bug of theirs.

There goes the only other WR with a pulse not on my list. Read rumors that they may reunite with Deebo. I wouldn't be surprised if he still went back considering their injury history at WR.
It seems like Juan Jennings will end up with the Titans. He will get the most money out of the remaining WR's, Titans have the most money, Jennings is from Tennessee, and he went to UT.
Surprised that we haven't even heard a rumor about FA WR's for the Saints.
