That happens because entering the second space leads the phone to believe you've completed the sentence. Or am I putting the chicken before the egg? At any rate, I read my coworker's emails and they're all illiterate. So I look good by comparison.

1 space after a period or a comma for the last 20 years or so. Habit now, looks better. I’m 51, learned to type on an IBM Selectric - was a luxurious machine in 1984.
