If they kicked him out because he violated some school policy (such as no political statements on clothes or bags), then I get it.
This is a bullshite stance IMO. Explain to me how the Gadsden flag is political? Do you believe the American Flag is political? Just because something is a symbol of the country and or is part of out history doesn't make it political.

Hopefully they do and it would be nice if that education included the history of the Gadsden Flag, though I doubt it.
LSU Lab School taught it (along with other flags) as recently as a few years ago.

Parents obviously knew what they are doing. A patch had already been established as allowed by the US constitution
ETA: does a charter school count as “public”?

You get that from a kid wearing an American historical saying at school? Not the kids who have been sexually mutilated by their white liberal mothers; but a kid displaying a saying from a great moment in American history. That's who you see as a danger.
You're a piece of shite.

Public with selective admission
They receive public funds but they are ran by a board/commission
They have to report everything like a public business does.

yeah, apparently some teachers don't really know anything.
Thanks a lot, Ms. Waites.

This kid is running for class president or VP. His campaign shtick is revolution. There is a pic of him wearing a tricorn hat at school.
That teacher is an idiot. You can tell the way she mumbled that she had no idea what she was talking about.

this broad is a perfect representation of the white liberal female that is destroying the fabric of this nation and western culture as a whole. she disguises her ideology behind a lot of hand-talking, helpless shrugs, and timid smiles while also hiding behind a vague explanation of the crime - "roots in slavery", whatever the frick that means - and also claiming she's just enforcing the policy. "oh i was told this, my hands are tied, i'm just doing as I'm told by The Competent Authority, believe me i'm basically on your side in this whole thing, etc etc etc". this woman can eat a whole bag of dicks.

Calm down, Susan.
I think the Gadsden Flag is more "political" than say the American Flag (which I don't think is political, but I can understand the argument that it could be). It's got a political statement written on it for chrissakes. I have no idea if the school has anything like that in place, but my point was that if the school has a policy where nothing like that is allowed on school bags, then I get it.
Policies like that are usually all or nothing, so if they outlaw all stuff like flags, for example, in order to eliminate any potential bullshite, that makes sense.

Admittedly, my history classes were a long time ago, but wasn't it basically a message to/for the British about our independence?
Hell, the Wiki pagefor "Don't tread on me" says:
quote:
Don't Tread on Me is a political slogan dating to the American Revolution.

it may have been a political slogan / statement in the 1700s, but so was the American flag back then. do you consider it a political slogan now? if so, for what position?
