That's a beautiful Doberman. I always wanted one.

I can put you in touch with the person I purchased her from. Warning, she's in West Texas and required me traveling by plane to pick her up.

Tanner was the nephew of a friend I grew up with. Terrible story, their family is crushed.
Pitbulls do have a problem that runs throughout the entire breed. They can make great dogs, but they're a timebomb in your home. Not worth the risk.
Here's some more info on the incident.

Yall need to stop being a buncha lil bitches..lol there are plenty of good pit bulls out there. Guess ill just wait for mine to snap though amirite? buncha idiots in here..
The reason your pit hasn't attacked anyone is because that lab put it in it's place. Labs love water, the pit knows if it fricks around the lab is going to drag it into the pool and drown it.

I've been grumpy and bent out of shape since Saturday to be honest.
This puts life into perspective again. How sad and tragic. God has that little bit in his arms now. No more pain or sorrow for him.
Props to the owner for putting the dogs down, I can't imagine the sorrow of the family.
Pit bulls should not be allowed to exist as a breed, they should be eliminated from the earth. They are not domesticated, they are not safe to be around people.

There is no proof it was a "pit bull". As to your second point that is incorrect according to aspca.

Would like a link to the kid's aunt's facebook where she plainly says the dogs were pits?

I'm a dog lover. But here is some food for thought for you. I didn't realize how many people were killed by them this year alone, most were family pets. You may think yours is a precious member of your family. But you cannot be sure. Do I hate pits because they killed my nephew? I'm not sure. Do I hate the one who lives next door to me and chases me when I mow and sneaks into my yard? Yes. Would I shoot him? Yes, but only if I had to. People are at fault, not dogs in general. We bred these monstrosities for our amusement and entertainment. Don't take your children anywhere near them. Male, female, neutered, spayed...avoid them all at all cost. The price is too high.

This. Nothing says trash like a pit bull in the yard...or Christmas pics.

Had one loose with no collar in our neighborhood once. My girls were 2 and 4. Hated to, but I had to take it to "deer camp". And we were outside city limits or at least the limits animal control would patrol. Have a new fella doing it now. He drive his arse wherever and whenever to go get a dog or rescue one that's been neglected. Those things are like a fricking epileptic retard with a loaded shotgun. It's just a matter of time until they go the frick off.

It's pointless using facts or logic to argue with the types that own pits.
With all the dog breeds available that don't eat people regularly, there is no valid reason to own a pit bull.

If a pitbull was a chihuahua there would be no issue. I know that sounds obvious, but what I mean is that people can defend pitbulls until they are blue in the face, but this is the problem. If a kid is playing with a chihuahua & grabs it the wrong way or does stuff kids do that will cause the dog to snap back at them, if it bites the kid.. He/she might cry for a few minutes, if it breaks the skin it might even need a bandaid.
Now put the pitbull in the situation. If you let kids be kids unsupervised around any dog, if the kids are grabbing it, dragging it, pokes it in the eye, etc its only natural for a dog to react. Its like if someone would just come up to you & poke you in the eye, without thinking, you might take a swing at that person just because its instant, it hurts so its an emotional reaction. If you hit the person, its their fault for doing something to cause the reaction.
Anyway, pit bulls are just a lot stronger & more aggressive. It doesn't matter how sweet of a dog it is, all it takes is for something to happen to cause a reaction & when it does the results are not pretty. Its similar to allowing a kid to play with a loaded gun. The problem with these dogs are the owners. Its not an issue as to whether or not its a good, sweet dog, the issue is the capability of that dog. Its like nuclear weapons. Its like saying "Iran never used nuclear weapons before so let them have as many as they want" Then one day they decide to launch em at 5 or 6 countries then someone says "well, just because Iran did it, doesn't mean other countries with the exact same interest as Iran will do it, stop judging them".

Please illuminate us, oh wise canine behaviorists. What peer-reviewed studies are cited here to support such anti-pit bull consensus?
"But the truth is that dog attacks are rarely investigated in such a way that reveal the
real reasons why dogs attack. And so we have routinely come to draw totally inaccurate
conclusions about canine behavior. These inaccurate assessments often lead to breed-specific
legislation which is not only of no value in keeping communities safe, but has caused
much anguish to responsible dog owners and has doomed hundreds of thousands of dogs
to exile or death. "
