Atlanta has seen a dramatic surge in crime since 2020 across the board. I can’t quite put my finger on why, but I know there’s no correlation with the defund the police movement and the catch and release policy.

From a population percentage standpoint Nola is still ahead of chicago.by a few percentage points So congrats for being stupid. I feel tremendously safer when I visit Chicago versus NOLA.
Louisiana is cshithole. You cats are only above Jackson MS and El Paso Texas. Your food is better than El Paso and your cture is better than Jackson. But your housing situation and future is more desolate than both... Congrats for being stupid

the catch and release policy.
We have this too now, thanks to our absolute piece of shite horseface DA. The "progressive solution" is to not hold people on bond, and/or just not charge them at all. This is from February. The number is considerably higher now.

Using precise figures from the paper, the 9,200 individuals released following reform committed roughly 1,573 crimes and 294 violent crimes. If only 8,700 offenders had been released, they’d have committed 1,488 new crimes and 278 violent crimes. In other words, the release of just 500 people led to roughly 85 additional crimes, including 16 additional violent crimes.

Per capita murder in BR is like 6x Ch-Iraq so wouldn’t throw stones

The most worried I've ever felt about accidentally getting off the beaten path while walking from an entertainment district in many a cities was in Baton Rouge. It is also the only place I've ever been where I was warned not to stray far and given business cards by shuttle/cab services if I felt concerned about getting back to a hotel. I've been to all major cities minus Baltimore and Detroit. My frienda that have lived in those cities still think baton rouge Nola and St Louis are the worst.

There were also 5 shootings in Texas this weekend. Yes Chicago had more, but don’t make this out to be a left vs right issue. Good old red Texas has a gun problem as well. Interesting stuff here.
Lol, links five shootings in Houston. Democrat mayor.
The left is the gift of stupidity that keeps giving.

Weird LA ranks as one of the lowest when it comes to homeless. Along with MS and AL.
Seems we can shelter our people.

7 times the population, 94ish% the shootings (if you use the 12 shot in 13 hours in NOLA.).
Not very different.

Mobile is trying to be murder capital of the world too
Posted on 6/7/21 at 10:37 pm to TutHillTiger
Lake Charles is one of the top murder capitols of the US in it's population size... Ran by a GOP mayor... Doesn't matter who is in charge in LA. It is crooked AF and a violent place with nothing to offer other than crawfish and seafood. It is no different than Laos, vietname, and Thailand. I get being proud of one's home but at some point y'all gotta get the F out your state Nd experience the world.

In Atlanta, it’s 44 murders, 243 shootings, 55 rapes, 260 robberies, 260 robberies, and 841 aggravated assaults.
Baton Rouge is beating Atlanta in the homicide department this year.

Lake Charles isn't remotely close to the top in homicdes per capita. It's 1/9th of the leader.

Also seems weird you cats are right there with OD's and pill factories right next to WV, Florida, and Ohio. Hell there was even a documentary promoted here and thoroughly detailed.
The narrative you are trying to put forth is stupid and you'd should step away and fix your own Fking community and stop worrying about one that is 100 times the size of yours. It only shows your ignorance and the ignorance of the citizens of Louisiana. Stop deflecting and talk to your local reps before you start blasting a narrative that is false comparison. TBH I am surprised you can even read considering your states literacy rates.

For 2021, from January to now, Chicago has 195 murders,
Damn that's more murders than Jackson

I was at a friend’s place in River North this weekend and heard some of the gun shots that happened on his block. Apparently a stray hit one woman on the foot
Posted on 6/7/21 at 11:16 pm to DollaChoppa
Same with NOLA. 82 murders through end of May. 82:195 compared to 390,000:2,710,000 population.
