Don't do that dude.

Build a big metal shop with an apartment inside it. You can build a nice one for the cost of a trailer.

Build house later.

Use apartment in shop for man cave.

Pink Flamingos must be placed within 20 feet of all entrances in order to profit.

1. Never feel the need to defend or explain why you do things as long as they make sense to you and you’re content.

2. I am single with no kids, too, and live in a trailer owned by the business I work for. It’s a nice trailer and I don’t pay a dime for anything but utilities. I am currently saving up for when I do want to buy a house, which I probably will do when I move away from here. But as long as I am here I am staying in the trailer.

Do a kit house before a trailer. Won't depreciate like a trailer does and you'll get some self satisfaction out of the process.

If women didn't exist we would all be living in trailers.

Who the hell needs a big house? My SO lives in another city so I just have a 1/1 little shack. It's fricking perfect man. Screened in porch with a couch, grill, and smoker. Living room with a big TV, surround sound speakers, and a full bar. Who the frick needs more than that?

I’d buy an airstream or something else that you could still use one day after you decide you want a house on that land.

The OT is secretly a lot more trashy than people think. Between this thread and the welding/plant threads I'm really starting to wonder

Good idea, better idea would be a metal building, apartment in front, shop in back.

Instead of a trailer, why not consider building a large metal workshop. Do a small 2BR apartment as a loft in the shop and live there while you bank cash for a home on the site in the future. You’ll have the apartment as a potential rental/revenue stream once you’re in the house.

One of my daughters bought a new trailer. Her and her husband lived in it while she was in college and saved for a downpayment on a house. It was far less expensive than rent and she got most back when she sold it.

I have a friend that bought a big piece of ground on Bayou Barataria. He put a trailer on it to live while he built his house. But first he decided to build a shop/ barn. So he built a big metal building. Then he built a real nice dock and gazebo on the bayou. Then he bought a Hatteras sport fisher to tie up to the dock.

He's got a great set jp. He's been living there about five years and I asked him when he was going to build the house. He said he has the plans and house pad ready, but he likes it the way it is and may never build the house.

His girlfriend is an OT 8-9, that is 15 years younger than him and goes down there every weekend and she loves it.

Absolutely not, and don't let anybody tell you different.

zy way of saying your life is too exciting to handle a suburb. You go to sports bars and drink keg beer and some

Some people like not having to drive 30 minutes to get everywhere. It’s really nice being able to walk to the hardware store, grocery store, bar, a couple restaurants, dog park, within just a couple minutes. Suburbs are the worst of both worlds. You don’t have the convenience of walking everywhere, you’re stuck in traffic all the time, and HOA’s and nosy neighbors eliminate the freedom that comes with living in a rural area. Suburbs just mostly suck.

Married and living in a trailer while in college. Not trashy at all.
