The entire world is basically in a death spiral. The food, medical, industrial, banking system is more or less rigged against the common man. You are a piece of the machine designed to extract wealth from this world for a tiny percentage of the elite.
The best you can do is find your faith in God and lean on Him instead of drugs. Don't be a fat arse. Rear your children to be good people and teach them the value of hard work, responsibility, and charity towards your immediate community. Support your local Sheriff and be present in your school district.
If you don't have kids, you need to have some. They will be needed to rebuild civilization.

But now the new thing is, therapy.
While I agree, I don't know if this is necessarily a bad thing. What the need for therapy is showing is our lack of communication with each other. Many people live in a fantasy world through social media so they're afraid to open up about problems or cope properly due to fear of what others might say. So to save face, they are speaking to strangers in private. I don't think that's the best solution however. I believe you need accountability from those around you. The uptick in therapy could, in the end, be a good step in the right direction. I'd rather that than doped up on medications. But the ideal scenario seems far off due to the current climate we're in.

The marriage between doctors and pharma needs to end. Most doctors are just legal drug dealers these days exercising no root cause analysis and not treating the body as a complete system.
They could care less - 90% of doctors just want to get you in and out and write a script so they can go on to the next patient. America's health care system in a joke thats run by insurance companies (thanks Obama) - I understand why all the liberals beg for socialized medicine.

Do your friend a favor and take that shite away from him. Every bottle he has. Sell them to me and I will get rid of that garbage forever.

I've had a fair amount of clients who have come to see me that have been overprescribed. But a lot also don't want to "do the work" that comes with getting to the root of the issues by coming off the medication. They want to be "fixed" in one session.

25% of the women in this country are on medication for mental illness. That means 75% are running around untreated!

I think the emphasis on patient satisfaction scores has a lot to do with things. Providers who work for big corporations might have their pay tied to this, and it encourages them to give patients what they want or think they need vs what’s good for them.

I don’t know. I’m some of these small towns, the sheriffs need to be ran out. Not supported.

There’s probably a lot of truth to this.
People are now so accustomed to being numbed and distracted from the world around them - a world that is and always has been very abrasive and unkind (in most areas).
So when people are thrust into things that confront them or challenge them - they lose their minds and freak out.

Well then, do that. The point is that our greater society is built by local communities. If you want to see national change, it has to start somewhere, and the areas you can make the greatest impact are at the local level.
You do need law and order though.
People don't realize how much of their general demeanor/welfare is centered around an orderly and safe community that law enforcement maintains.

No. What you say is spot on. I was saying we have some crooked and worthless sheriffs. Of course, it’s up to the the citizens to handle that.

Add to it that both male and female hormones are totally out of whack. Testosterone levels are very low. Females getting periods earlier and earlier.
And no one on the Left is asking any questions on why this is?

My wife (soon to be ex, getting separated) has been on Wellbutrin for 10 years. I absolutely think that shite contributed to our marriage failing.
She tries to downplay the side effects while also claiming she needs to be on it.
She admits that over the same time frame she has been less and less affectionate, etc but refuses to consider that it's to blame or even could be.
wtf.

quote:When i was going through cancer treatment i HATED being on so much medication - the worst was gabapentin for the neuropathy. That crap combined with the brain fog from the chemo was unbearable. The day I got to throw away the last antibiotics in the trash after treatment will always be a happy day in my life. I don't understand how people can be so drawn to ingesting medicines like that and desire to keep taking them.
People need to put down the pharmaceuticals and start looking at natural, less chemically-based alternatives, if anything, to stablilize their mood.
