This one wasn’t nearly as bad as the last one whatever it technically was.

Tomorrow's weather description from Accuweather, "Some sun with a drenching thunderstorm; humid."

Do you want to talk about some things, baw? You seem awfully angry over things you don't understand. Lashing out isn't going to help anything.

I’m trying to fly out of Conroe for Lakefront airport, and they won’t clear me. They have a hold for a weather sigmet from here to NOLA. It is set to expire at 6:55 PM, so I’ll get home tonight, just 5 hours after I was supposed to.

Welllll
At least I still have stuff out from last time when I lost power for a few hours last time when I was putting back ….. generators were all turned.. gas out and cords organized.. figured it was a good dry run before hurricanes..

Soooo.. sitting here with a Honda tailgating one on eco running a fan .. light and can recharge the phones…

Will pull the large generator out later for fridge and freezers if needed..

Power out in katy.. taking longer than usual??? We are on same grid as a hospital..

Btw..drove through that weather today when I left Baton Rouge.it was blowing hard… some interstates closed in Houston going to Galveston and east… . couple decent size limbs down in the yard also….

A derecho is not a storm. It refers to a specific weather event.

Please go back to posting vacation pics if you're going to be willfully ignorant.

Only FEMA can take over a disaster situation and dictate who/what gets restored first, otherwise it is up to the utility. Hospitals all have generators to keep the operation afloat in the meantime.

All hell broke loose for about 30 minutes. We had water pouring in from our AC unit. Hail, wind, rain…crazy. We’re up in The Woodlands area.

Center point saying down to 179k customers down. Guess they were able to redirect a bunch. I’m hearing from neighbors that they heard several transformers blow so I’m thinking it might be a bit for us.

I don’t know what Black Walnut is. I’m sitting in the General Aviation FBO. I’ve bought two snickers bars, so 4 bucks!

Working downtown when this came through today. The wind was strong enough that we can see the windows bowing. We got the hell out of that conference room and moved to the interior of the building until it passed.

Is it the same company as the one on Memorial?
