And crickets.
He is right about one thing though. The church isn't like any other corporation. They don't have to give you a product to take your money and use it nefarious ways.
How much is a ticket to heaven these days?

Who are these Democrat posters you speak of? The Catholic Religion has tolerated, promoted, and covered up the Homosexual lifestyle for centuries. It’s well documented. Not sure what Catholic Religion failures have to do with any other religion? I’m not religious at all and think they are all fantasy and a way to try to control people.
The catholic church sure did get pissy when people started trying to translate the Bible from Latin.
Catholicism is 100% about controlling populations. Always has been.

That scheming was effective in further suppressing the truth about [confessed, legally-diagnosed pedophile priest] Hecker – who would spend decades more free, even while Hughes’ successor as New Orleans archbishop, Gregory Aymond, continued dealing with the priest’s crimes after being appointed in 2009.
It should not be this difficult to investigate and prosecute an admitted rapist. And [yet] it was. - Jason Williams, New Orleans’ district attorney
For instance, in 2012, Aymond authorized a $37,000 payment to settle out of court with a former altar boy who alleged having been molested by Hecker. Aymond, nonetheless, would not publicly unmask Hecker as a child molester for years. In fact, in April 2018, the archdiocese touted the looming 60th anniversary of Hecker’s ordination into the priesthood in its newspaper.
There's lots more, but I need to eat dinner soon. This article is just one of hundreds just like it - child rape and cover-up after cover-up after cover-up. And yes,
quote:
Aymond issued a written apology to victims as part of the church's Chapter 11 bankruptcy settlement agreement.
He belongs in jail, not being forced to write deeply hypocritcal letters to any community other than that of Angola inmates.

quote:and there is the rub. There have been instances of individual priests being convicted and incarcerated but not many, and many of those were only after decades of obfuscation and protection by the church administration. But I am not aware of any, not one, criminal case against a bishop or archbishop who participated in the conspiracy to conceal the truth and protect the pedophiles while keeping the most vulnerable members of the church at risk.
He belongs in jail

Skipping over the whole cover up and attacking victims part of you supporting child molestation.
It's always the cover-up, right? That's another aspect of our culture these last few decades that I don't completely buy into.
Look at the post I was responding to, which basically said this was the worst crime perpetrated by a powerful organization ever. How is that even remotely close to true? Look at the shite governments have done to their own people just in the last 100 years.
And it's the cover-up? The Chinese Communist Party is harvesting organs from ethnic minorities for the profit and convenience of its leaders, but boy oh boy heaven forbid a couple of scared bureaucrats shred a frickin' memo.
Everything about this is just so distorted. There was a guy on this board in another thread like this recently who called himself a victim of a Catholic priest but then openly admitted his claim was based on repressed / recovered memories. People here were lapping it up without objection, but that's not how memories of truly traumatic events work, at all!

You didn't have to pick one to happen
"I'll take that" is just a strange thing to say about molesting kids.

Jesus never wanted the church to be the main focus or a focus at all and he arguably never wanted a Pope of power like there is now or even a Pope at all. Peter is questionable.
To be clear, the faith is amazing the church has gone full pedo ring worldwide. Sorry cupcake.

Funny, since the Catholic Church has absolutely used the word corporation to describe itself.

The Law and "Church" has turned a "Blind Eye" for centuries. Why should they get a break from " justice".
The "Church" has never been punished.

I dont understand the prospect that Priests cant have wives/Gfs.
It just a power structure so everything the priest accumlated in life gets left to the church.
Other than that. The whole child abuse thing is abbhorrent.
Catholic Church needs a reboot and restructure.

That’s called Protestantism. It’s been tried. No thanks.

You should do more research on that. Clergy from the Roman Catholic Church were the first to translate the Bible into vernacular language. Hebrew to Latin. Greek to Latin. Latin to English. Latin to German.
I don't think your info is accurate. But, by all means, if you'd like to bash a Christian religion by spreading lies about it, please feel free to do so. We have dealt with this kind of Adversary before.

The diocese started a very vigorous screening, prevention and training process over 20 years ago.
Don’t care.

Yes, an individual priest, religious, or Catholic school teacher may yet commit sexual abuse from time to time, like in every institution, but it’s not tolerated and it’s immediately turned over to the police.
The reason I do not care, is that this is complete BS. The Church actively hid these guys from years. That is criminal and not made right by a letter apology, nor by a financial settlement. Treat these perverts like any kid diddler would be treated.
I say this as someone that attended catholic schools for 12 years.

Did they run this by Mrs. Benson and the Saints PR team?

Not the religion or the faith. Just the Catholic church. It's a criminal organization.

You should do some research on John Wycliffe and Martin Luther.

By mentioning something about the CCP?
All of communism is just a couple centuries old. Corrupt American politicians? The same.
The Catholic church has been dirty for 2000 years.

Because churches are a legitimate business.
They just get a sweet deal on taxes.
