Not everyone is taking it to lose weight.

Many, at one time, before celebutards began taking it to lose weight. Used it to get their A1C. Levels down to control their diabetes. Had a buddy take it, his doctor took him off metaformin, and he's beat diabetes. Because of it helping him lower is a1c.

Now it's a glamour drug for fatties

That’s the thing that gets me. I know several people taking these drugs that are NOT fat, if you ask them “they just want to lose a few pounds” bullshite there are plenty of people it will help but the ones wanting to lose 10 pounds by Christmas are crazy

In my 20 years of imaging, I’ve never seen so many people with gallbladder issues than this past couple years since this drug has become so popular.
That's because weight loss, especially rapid weight loss, increases the risk of gallstone formation. Same thing happens with weight loss from diet or gastric bypass, it has nothing to do with the drugs in particular.

Same deal with the loss of muscle mass seen with GLP-1 drugs. The same degree of muscle mass loss is seen with rapid weight loss caused by anything, unless counteracted by weight bearing exercise. It's not unique to Ozempic or Mounjaro

Lot of misinformation and fear mongering from stupid people in this thread.

I did not realize how unhealthy our food is in the USA until we started watching these guys. We started watching Jolly several years ago. Their videos are great.

I've been a doctor for a long time. Sure wish someone would tell me where to get these kickbacks from!

Me: Any long-term detrimental effects from usage?

Dr: We do not know yet.

FTR: I do not need them.

I'm sure it is for some people who can't lose weight no matter what they do (diet, exercise). BUT...

I think they are being abused by people who just want an easy fix and yes, I do believe there will be commercials in 20 years from Lawyers saying "if you took Wugovy or Ozempic, and your intestines fell out of your arse, you have the right to compensation"

Same with all these bitches getting botox in their face. It is a TOXIN. Its in the name. To inject that in your body for years and years can't be good.

Orforglipron is an oral medication that is currently in clinical trials for the treatment of type 2 diabetes and obesity.
Mechanism of Action:
Orforglipron is a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist, which means it mimics the action of a natural hormone called GLP-1. GLP-1 helps to regulate blood sugar levels by stimulating the release of insulin from the pancreas, suppressing glucagon secretion, and slowing gastric emptying.

Could work. My wife took it because she gained weight from being is a cancer survivor. She went from 128 to 167. Took the trizepitide(sp) and 4 months later she is 130.

What about people who take the medication and get lower gut outburst of pain for a hour or so when they try to increase as the dr prescribed? What causes it?

not always that simple. chemical dyes and GMO in our food supply is everywhere.

why should we have to deal w/ all the poison in our food supply at all?

get it the hell outta there.

Get off your high horse. I wasn't fear mongering. Just stating what I've seen.

That said, these drugs can increase the chances of getting gallbladder disease. This isn't some sort of secret nor misinformation.

Everyone I know who takes it has had to have their gallbladders removed. Gastroenterologists love it.
