That 20 million wasn't just Jews. Stalin was a firm believer in DEI and would kill anyone he perceived as the slightest potential threat, jew or not. And many weren't executed, but were starved to death during the Holodomor. That is also a reason Ukrainians were apt to see Nazi's as a liberating force.

Spot on, thanks for clarifying that. Horrible options when your choice was Hitler or Stalin and Hitler was the better choice for your life.... Both men were evil mass murderers and I pray we never have to see this again.

"fricking moron"? Facts bothering you? Treblinka is one of the most documented death camps in all of the Holocaust. Himmler had the first camp commandant investigated for massive theft & mismanagement. And those documents are from the Nazis themselves. And guess all the photos were photoshopped? And there are zero records reflecting that any SS troopers were conscripted into service, either in the camps or all the actions in the East. There are many books out there, comprised of first person accounts thru many many letters written home by SS troopers, which lays it out in black & white what was going on and how they felt about it.

Fewer Jews existed worldwide by about 33% during the entirety of Stalin's tenure...there are only 16 million jews worldwide today...so between Stalin and Hitler there were 163% more jews killed than ever existed in the known world at any given time? That is some serious math right there...

See post by lz2112 above. I think he corrected me regarding my statement by stating that the 20 million number dispatched by the Soviet Union included more than Jews. It also included political enemies, kulaks, and other undesirables. Still, my point is that I'm not at all surprised that Ukrainian soldiers were complicit in aiding Nazi's in their eradication of Jews.

The number is closer to 7 million people total over nearly 30 years. Many of those years saw a heap of civil unrest and failed attempts to oust Stalin from power. About half died due to a famine which impacted most of the region and was, at best, "mismanaged" if not caused and promoted by Stalin's leadership. Of those 7 million less than 1% were ethnic jews according to Jewish historians. Stalin's crimess against humanity are horrific and do not need any padding to make them any worse than they actually are...

They took the prisoners off the trains, separated the men, women and children, collected valuables and sent them directly into the gas chambers. It was a human disposal camp. They didnt house or have to watch over that many prisoners.
