I ain’t gloating, I just feel extremely blessed. Never
Lost power last night. PCEC and it’s contractors were rolling by 8:00 am this morning. Good job crew(s).

After Gustav, Entergy would report entire neighborhoods being restored when it wasn't the truth. Just power up to the neighborhood but not down individual streets. We were on a generator 3 weeks after we were supposed to have electricity per Entergy

The restoration is crawling but the spin doctors are busy. Just got this text:
“ Entergy: More than 20,000 line crews are pouring into southeast Louisiana to assist with power restoration. LINK
Doesn’t help when most of them are parked at churches and businesses waiting for directions all day. 20 or 20,000, idle hands don’t mean much.

Boss is making me go in tomorrow all day. Was hoping for power as part of the street was green. Now it’s all red. I’ll just be sitting around draining my phone battery or draining my gas in my car since there is not a thing for me to do.
I did see a bunch leaving the mall at about 5

I’ll be pretty disappointed if my power is not backj in Southdowns tomorrow around Hyacinth/Lee. No real damage to speak of except for a tree down on Sweetbriar which I worry is the problem.

Cox came up around 3-4pm. I saw a couple of electrical teams working on Old Hammond between Sherwood and Flannery. Starting to see a few areas go green on the Entergy map.

I had internet until earlier today. Guessing ATT killed off any customers still lit to restore others.

Do we know if Entergy or Demco work through the night at all?

Saw ALOT of power trucks parked at hotels earlier. I am guessing they may be the night shift.

I’m just curious how much and how long the storm fee will show up on our bills going forward.
Also, unrelated to the topic, I never understand the point of a DEMCO/Entergy commercial on TV. We don’t have much choice in choosing who we go with. Seems like we are just paying for unnecessary advertisement.

Lots of people reporting Demco service coming back on line in Ascension (Pville/Gonzales) within the last hour. So at least they work late into the night.

I'm on the other side of 10 and my "update" says that they do not expect to have my power restored overnight.

I knew some of the neighborhood was Entergy but I didn't know the cutoff. We are all good though. No major damage so I'll deal with a little power outage.

Anybody know if Bocage area has gotten power back yet or if they've seen any trucks in the area working?

Millbrook right by you still without power also.
About 300 yards down from the Demco substation right here on Terrell, there is a huge oak tree suspended in the air. The only thing keeping it from falling are the power lines it’s resting on. I called Demco earlier this morning to make sure it was on their radar. No truck in sight as of 9:00 tonight.
