Craft cocktails provide more latitude for including uncommon or hard to pronounce ingredients that are perfect for the condescending hipster types.

I love beer, but it is a horrible drink in life. Takes to much to get you drunk and just way too many calories.

Is there anything wrong with that?

Or that just means more bitter and sour beers left for you to drink.

Ages 35-44 are mostly Gen X, rat than millennials.

Apparently, younger generations aren’t drinking as much beer as they used to. The data shows they now prefer wine and spirits instead. Research firm Nielsen showed a slight decline in beer penetration across the United States compared to 2016, although wine and spirits penetration stayed about the same. But Goldman’s research revealed a shift away from beer to wine and spirits amongst those 35-44.
Well yeah. A good portion of millennials are over 30, and most have already graduated college. I drink much more Bourbon and Wine now than I did when I was in college, and I drink much less overall. I don't think this is unique. And now instead of cases of Natty or Bud Light, I buy six packs of various craft brews.

So now generation Z, or whatever they are called, will be entering college, so I suspect they will be drink more beer like typical college students.

Depends where you live. Regardless, I was poking fun of trendiness and people who feel the need to be at the forefront so that they can feel superior because they were on to things first. AKA "hipster".

Personally, I'm a beer person and I love talking beer. That may be considered a beer snob by some definitions but I feel like it's entirely possible to be an enthusiast without being condescending. Just my $.02.

My only counterpoint is that with beer you can adjust your buzz in real time by speeding up or slowing down your drinking. With liquor once it hits you then you are on that ride for the duration.

I would be willing to bet craft beer sales are up while the typical mass produced beer sales are down.

Craft beers are so "in" right now.

I hate beer snobs btw. I'll drink just about anything you put in my hand and enjoy it, but don't look down on me if I just want a High Life or something cheap.

I stopped in Spec's in Houston the other day to pick up some beer I can't get in Louisiana. It was like 90% IPA.

I love craft beer. And I love IPAs and a that shite. But an ice ice cold bottled coors light cannot be beat on a hot summer day.
