Just got the alert that our power kicked back on in Alden bridge. Several of our friends in the area saying the same thing so that’s promising for entergy/the woodlands. Checked my thermostat on my phone and it was showing 86, which is crazy for nighttime in the woodlands. Don’t know how people survive another day tomorrow without power and with these temps.

Ok KHOU is saying this is legit. But still seems wrong based on my drive around the hood and karenbook posts.

They are just showing what they have energized. Our neighborhood is green, but 120 houses are still out due to down power lines that are now live. They swung by and placed caution live wire signs then left.

I still have no power nor cell phone service in Sugar Land. I'm staying with some friends in Pearland since they now have power. This no power and high temperatures isn't any fun.

Oh, and last night on my way from Sugar Land to Pearland, there were still many areas along the Sam Houston Tollway that were pitch dark. The neighborhood next to where I'm at right now is dark.

On 59 going through Stafford, the area by Pappadeaux, Hooters, Bombshells was very busy, and 1 block later, Pluckers, In-N-Out, and others were dark... so hit and miss with power.

Big tree fell over by the road by the pond next to Pendleton park, I guess that hit some line underground maybe. I haven’t seen any other damage.

If that’s it though I’m sure we will be out much longer, they aren’t going to come fix that for 50 houses

I'm dumb as hell but could "energized" just mean your primary lines (at top of utility poles) are now live, but your secondaries (after transformer, lower down on pole) are still out?

KW Heb had gas and opened up at 6 am. Got in line at 5:30 and was at the pumps for 6:15. Employees directing traffic so it was not a cluster. Another fuel load was pulling up as I was leaving.

ETA Meat Market tacos is open. Cash only

energized"

My house “energized “ three times yesterday. Lights flickered on..

Around six.. seven.. and 7:30…..each time for about a second.. last one maybe five seconds…. I am green in there map..
No power!… guessing they do not work in the evening or dark ?

No idea what the heck they are doing or maps mean .

Supposedly the green means they are currently working in your area. Our neighborhood (Katy) hasn’t had power since 6:22am on Monday. Thankfully, we have a whole house generator. There is a power pole snapped in two in the section next to ours. Center Point sent the wrong size truck yesterday to make the repair. Said they would be back today. They didn’t even bother to rope off the area. The neighbors did!

How long can your generator run before you need to add oil?

For the tree… crane person..
I have had two lifted out of my backyard.. I used champions tree preservation …. They had to lift a massive water oak (over five feet in diameter) out from between my pool .. neighbor garage … I think they have one of the largest craned for trees.. the operator had to drop it in between four house in our alley.. they were excellent..
