Do not move to Baton Rouge, especially if you have a wife and/or kids and value their safety. No place is really safe in Baton Rouge.

Just Google "racial dot map" and pick a spot. Most of the area South of LSU is nice.

How much coin do you have to spend, and will you have kids in school?

One does not belong. Port Allen is terrible. Traffic alone knocks it off list

Well, yeah. That depends if he doesn't mind the drive. He didn't really give details. I sure as hell wouldn't raise a family in Baton Rouge. That long drive back and forth would be draining but at least he's in a good area for the family. He'd have access to some pretty good schools and obviously the area is more upscale than probably all of Louisiana itself.

Also, depends on what part he lives in. I think he could get there in under an hour but then again traffic sucks dick in that area not to mention it's building up with an explosion of population especially between Madisonville.

Go to Bocage where you can get burgled by the Airline hoodrats, go to Mid-city/Garden District where you can get burgled by the NBR hoodrats, or go to Hundred Oaks where you can get burgled by the Bawell hoodrats

There are very few places in BR where you are not more than one wrong turn, and a block and a half from somewhere you would rather not be after dark.

If you’re young, live downtown. Love it there. Some really nice apartments on Third Street, low noise level past 11 PM, decent bars within three blocks.

Lived on Third for the past year. I’ve loved it
