I don’t know if they are cool or not, but they are durable, don’t get ruined due to water, and I like the way it looks. So that’s reason enough for me.

What is not cool and try hard is wearing a watch with a lightning bolt second hand to try and be different. At least go with something quiet cool like the Air King.

Wear a bracelet all you want, tons of guys do. Sure AF doesn’t make a watch cool to me though. 50 Fathoms, Speedy…the coolest watches simply don’t need it.

Bracelets are too try hard jewelry-ish

Rolexes are jewelry in addition to being mediocre watches. I have two - a Submariner for everyday wear and President with diamonds for more formal occasions.

I have both, worn for different reasons or occasions. If you are trying to buy one watch for all occasions just get a g shock and call it a day. You seem to be a little over your skis on this topic.

A bracelet on a Rolex is just right. If you are worried about trying too hard with jewelry maybe a Rolex isn't for you.

I love watches and own a variety of brands at different price points. A watch is the only jewelry I wear, like a lot of guys. Wearing a watch, expensive or not, with a bracelet is perfectly normal.

Also, very few people even notice that you have a watch on your wrist.

I have my birth year OP on a 70’s style bund strap. Looks great dressed down blue jeans or khakis, or dressed up with slacks and shirt with tie.

Plus, having the smaller OP on a bit larger strap makes it a bit more ‘current’ even though it is a 1969 watch. The bracelets from that era just seem dainty.

I'm 99% sure you would lose that bet. I know the Ibach family and that is either Madison or Reagan (I can't keep them apart since they reached adulthood) and I am pretty sure they have both been 100% equestrian after high school and didn't go to college. They grew up around Charlotte and I think both the girls live in NC horse country now (Tryon/Rutherfordton area).
