I'll tell you what to do. Buy the 20mm rubber strap and cut the ends with an exacto knife. I've done this before. Be careful and try to cut straight
I’ve definitely considered that but wasn’t sure how it would work out in the long run.

I’ve been waiting for a watch thread around here. It’s been too long, and I’ve contracted a watch addiction since the last one.

I don’t think it looks bad, but I’m also not a very big guy and I wear a 36mm watch daily.

Nothing wrong with 34mm! I have a 40s Movado Celestograf that is right around 34mm, and I love it:

38mm is a fine size, particularly if it is time-only. Further, the lugs can make a big difference. Frankly, my tastes lean towards 34-36mm for a time-only watch. Anything above 38mm starts to look like a dinner plate, especially when it has a thin bezel.

My watches range from 34mm, the Movado, to 42mm, some 70s Heuers.

Wore a 38mm forever. Never felt it was too small. I wore a 45mm for a while and whacked it on everything.

My main “issue” is I have 4 watches, all gifts, and all of them are 42mm. 41mm seems like the best size for my wrist. I tried on a Tudor Monochrome the other day and was instantly smitten.

But if I could get used to a 38mm watch, it’ll open up a ton of options.

I was shocked that I didn’t hate the 34mm Seiko. And I’m pretty sure a 38mm watch would be perfectly fine on my wrist.

It’s a good 7 1/4 inches, though. The internet had me thinking 38 would NEVER work.

ETA: Beautiful watch, btw.
