Have Christmas in your trailer then. Don't get pissy because old people like it hot.

My parents absolutely refuse to use the ac in the summer and want to burn down the amazon rainforest each winter to keep their home 80F until March. Its nuts to me.

This is about what my parents keep it on. Though they do bump it down at night a little.

Looks like I struck a nerve. Apologies

No… I’m 60 and laugh at kids like you.

My mom keeps it at the natural temperature without any conditioning. I can’t even visit without falling asleep in the summer

Really weird take on the holidays-but if you must know-it’s so y’all leave!

They will either turn it down to a reasonable temperature or we aren't visiting.
Very low 70's is appropriate enough (I prefer upper 60's). Anything warmer than that, and take me off the guest list.

the problem isn’t boomers, it’s your generation being too brain dead to realize it’s just that old people get cold easily.

You need to keep it hot enough that it doesn’t turn off. Heating systems wear out faster if they’re constantly turning off and on.

Older people have circulation issues.
Maybe when they were younger they had empathy issues too.

When you pack 20-25 people into a double wide it gets hot af quickly

When my father-in-law was alive and living with his lady friend in Marksville, both of them were in their early 80's and there were times I was there for several days at a time to help them out due to their health.
If it was winter, it was 80+ inside the house and I'd be in shorts, t-shirt and sandals while they were wrapped up in robes. Several times a day I'd walk outside to the deck behind the house and just sit in a chair to cool off for 15-20 minutes at a time and they thought I was crazy.
You get old, less circulation, less activity, etc. and stay cold natured.
