Yes, Lemon's harassment of private religious practice indeed was pure tyranny.

possibly. But I also think its odd how sensitive they are to political topics when almost every aspect of our lives is influenced and affected by it. I get tired of it too. But you aren't getting away from it.

"You may not be interested in politics, but politics are most certainly interested in you."

And they are gonna be wrong. You cant "protest" on private property while simultaneously interrupting a religious service.

If people stormed a mosque during worship and were arrested for violating the civil rights of the worshippers would you call that tyranny?

FACE Act was put into place to prevent this from happening, and from happening at abortion clinics.

You can't go into a place of worship and intimidate or interfere.

Except he did not do that. He was only displaying what was taking place.

He was interfering.

And clearly supportive of the disrupters.

So you think you could escape facing charges if you went with a group of people to rob a bank just by holding the IPhone and asking the bank manager a couple questions?

Do you have to try to be as ignorant on these topics as you are?

Good

Even if you think it should be legal to storm a church service - I don’t - it’s morally repugnant

Another example of people who can’t stop stepping on their own dicks when trying to make a stand (or in this case, get attention).

Public opinion was shifting, this just gives their opponents ammo because most normal folks are not on team “make kids cry in church”

Stupid.

No it's not, the pastor asked him to leave multiple times and he sat and argued with him, don't be obtuse and act like he wasn't part of the bullshite.

Sadly because this board is getting older, as are the topics of interest

this and it also feels like there was an exodus of younger posters. now when i open the OT every thread is either bitching about some aspect of society or "this female celeb from the 70s has aged poorly"

new accounts are less likely to be students than some 80 y/o that wants to yell about liberals

Yeah he clearly crossed the line from "neutral observer" to "active participant." Can't use "journalist" as a get out of jail free card.

Why has the OT become the 2nd poli board?

Not an unfair question, but this event goes beyond politics. Invading a church is a scummy thing to do, and he clearly expected his fame to shield him from consequences which made it a big news event.
