Man, if that's the case imma get me a conservatorship over my uncle Daryl and get his retirement and VA checks deposited in my account.
We have video proof, too, from the fourth of July two years ago when Daryl chucked a horseshoe at my cousin Anthony's head during a rather heated dispute over a "leaner". It just missed him, but it did knock a hole in the vinyl siding. Uncle Daryl fixed it a couple days later after he sobered up.
In Daryl's defense, Anthony really is a lying, cheating a-hole. So, there's that.

One thing that will probably go against me in the conservatorship case is that uncle Daryl was the one who conviced the bunch not to play lawn darts. Jessie, Anthony's half-brother, found a complete set of lawn darts at the flea market the weekend before, still in the box. Daryl brought some wisdom and levelheadedness to the get-together when he brought up the point that taking the lawn darts out of the box would decrease the set's value by 85%, and Jessie had plans to resale them on Ebay later on. They were a set from the early 1970s before the government neutered the American spirit of adventure with all the nonsense regulations. They just don't make them like that anymore, hence their collector value.
Uncle Daryl made sense on that. It really is up to the judge to decide, though.

Don't feel bad for Daryl. He has it coming because he still hasn't fixed my damn weed eater and Spring has sprung......I'm going to have to buy a new one.

I don't even know if Jessie can legally own the lawn darts on account of the conditions of his parole. So, kind of keep that between us.

It sounds like you have a case for Uncle D. If he doesn’t have his own money you will probably have to support him.

No, Jessie is the flea market guru – kind of like our own AntiqueTiger. Daryl got banned from the flea market back in '07. Coincidentally, that ordeal also involved horseshoes.

Just so we're clear, I want no say in Daryl's sex life or ice cream consumption
ETA: It is probably a good idea to keep him off the golf course, though. The last round he played he assaulted a goose.
Physically, not sexually. Uncle Daryl isn't a pervert.
ETAA: Listen, during that golf outing and associated goose conflict Uncle Daryl said one of the scariest phrases I've ever heard. As we were dragging his arse back in the cart he said, "I'm gonna cut that bastard's throat the long way!". A man so heated and devoid of logic and reason due to the rage that has overtaken him who chooses against the simple "round the neck" of cutting a goose's throat in favor of going "beak to breast" is not someone you want to take lightly. It is really just sadism at that point.
