same in my area. lot of cajuns have more of a weird texas/cajun hybrid dialect going on

They sound redneck to me, that's where my mom's family is from. My aunts on that side have a pretty hard twang when they get together.

I suppose Arkansas, or northern Louisiana.

Or maybe it's Mississippi, I'm not sure. My SIL's boyfriend is from Clinton and he has a hard twang.
