I think most people who throw that word around feel lacking in something.
Kinda like they know when the “Boomer” was their age they were more of a man than they are.
Or it could be just them saying they are old.

It's not necessarily a derogatory term. That's just what you are, to me - old.
I know many cool boomers and a lot more stereotypical ones. Those stereotypes are discussed exhaustively and ad nauseam herein. And stereotypes exist for a reason, as we all know.
It's the senile, demented ones that ultimately give the rest of the boomers a bad name. Those and the ones who refuse to retire.
At the end of the day, their days are numbered and society will change as a result.

Don't kid your elementary selves. It's like I said weeks ago.......the lucky & blessed, privileged elder statesman are nada fazed in the least by the word Boomer. Don't care, which is why no "Boomers" have replied.
However, the young & confused are literally "blowing the board up" (90 to 2 replies) trying/hoping to convince themselves that they've actually done something relevant, for a change, by coming up with some word to project their angst onto some other group. Try harder bro! It did'nt work.
Whoever/Whatever Gen P, Y, LGBT, Q they are - they & they're group think are irrelevant. What's interesting, however, is how easily swayed, sucked in & up they seem to be over one of the most flat, gay, un-stirring/meaningless words ever said or used! I'd rather be selfish, stylish, wearing exquisite clothes/fashion, dancing to the best era of music/musicians in history & loving life (still baby) to the extreme than be indoctrinated by "group" think/identity via anonymous social media. Like Pavlov's dogs - steered by whatever trite new trend/fad (like tattoos) to make them feel relevant or "part of" - thinking they've created something (finally) authentic.
They "all together now" chant "Boomer" to an elevated, especial group above them which gives no fricks at all about them or their silly language. And no boys & girls, I write a few paragraphs because I can read/write/think for more than 7 seconds.
