I used to work in the pipeline industry in Mississippi and we had “people” pretty much constantly fricking up equipment to steal copper and brass. They would cause thousands of dollars worth of damage for $10 worth of copper.

The city is not the problem, it’s a portion of the population. I’m all for exporting that portion from all of the aforementioned cities. It would be amazing to see the rehabilitation that would ensue.

My office was in Downtown Jackson for 8 years. Every winter, all of the pipes would burst underground because they were like 150 years old. Boil advisory all over the city We’d always get like 5 days from home for that. That city’s infrastructure is prehistoric. Not sure where all of their tax money went. The beggars and bums were also non stop. I was so glad to move on from that hellhole.
