This happened to my dad.
He said he woke up and went to get his morning coffee and when he started his truck he almost fell out of the drivers seat the noise was so loud
Scared the shite out of him at 5am.
Can anything be done to stop this as far as things you can do to the car/truck?

He said he had to drive a few miles down the interstate to some place that patched something or other for $80. Apparently his truck sounded like a nascar the whole way and everyone was staring at him.

At that age it was probably pretty clogged up anyway. Delete the cat or a new one, either way, she might get some extra performance out of the deal.
