The mega wealthy celebrities aren't making the bulk of their wealth off their original "talent." That is the foot in the door to setting up your brand.
For example, Oprah used her TV fame to build a media empire. She didn't make her billions from syndication of her talk show.

The OP just said celebrities. I think everyone is aware of how the Olsen twins parlayed their fame and money into the fashion industry.
Also, everyone is aware of how all these people didn't just make their wealth in their initial line of work to celebrity status. No need to give us a recap of each one.
Except maybe Judge Judy being worth almost half a billion. You can do a recap of her wealth path.

I don’t get the hate for Sandler. Are all his movies winners? Of course not. But he, by all accounts, is a nice guy. He owns his own production company and constantly casts his buddies in his movies to keep them working.
I mean, if you had the ability to book your own movies and set them in exotic locations to basically take awesome vacations and bring your wife and best friends with you while making bank, why not?
