all-family Zoom

If you have AT&T, you have the perfect exuse. The internet is down.

Or, without that, a Zoom meeting has to be among the most easily avoidable things on the planet.

Kids playing with their toys.

Neighbors stopping by today hello (Merry Christmas!)

Christmas movies all day

Football

A good pour of bourbon or a 14 year old scotch (no pics)

Smell of the braised pork loin in the oven for Christmas dinner

Chillin’ (off/on napping)

Yup, today sucks!!!

As soon as I got all my presents I immediately started talking shite to my liberal siblings. Man I feel in a bad mood.

Next I went for a walk by myself since it’s so nice outside. Came back and now I hear my grandfather is on the way to hospital with a possible stroke.

This day is going downhill fast. Can’t even drink too much today either. I’m going to play golf first thing tmr then bounce back to NO. 2020 just can’t stop being so shitty

I've actually always felt that way. My mom feels that way as well. For me the best part of Christmas is the period from around 3:00 p.m. on Christmas Eve to about noon on Christmas Day. Christmas Eve you have mass, family pictures, a nice dinner and then as a family we read a cool old book with The Night Before Christmas.

To me Christmas Day morning is a lot of fun but once you open the presents it's pretty much over. Honestly it's just a day to then sleep and/or lounge around. I know for me especially this year Christmas Eve and Christmas morning were far more magical because we got snow and a white Christmas. Got up at 2 a.m. to go to the bathroom and noticed it was flurrying, stayed up and by 3 a.m. the ground was covered.

I'm 37 and live away now so I stay with my parents when I visit. Woke my mom up and we watched the snow fall. It's been awhile since I've been home for Christmas so it was kind of emotional, especially with the white Christmas.

But yeah to me Christmas Day is blah after you've opened the presents. My grandparents are long gone, my sister goes to her in laws for Christmas and I'm single with no kids so it's not like we do much for Christmas anyway.

As a kid I will say I loved the day after Christmas. Your parents weren't doing anything (if anything my parents were recovering from Christmas) and it's a whole day to finally play with your presents. As an adult the day after Christmas absolutely sucks. I think it's the worst day of the year.
