DO NOT spend more than 15 bucks on a silly lighter.

I have one of these that I bought locally for about $12
I have had this for years. I use it for BBQing, camp fires, Cigars, everything.

This is my second one only due to my first one swelling up in the summer heat in my truck. I had that one for many years as well.

This. Bought one of these from my local Cigar shop and it works great. They refilled it for free last time I went in.

I've been using this xikar regularly for the past eight or so years with no problems.

Xikar

I got the one that comes with a cutter that sticks to the lighter magnetically. I sent the cutter in when it went dull and they sent me a new one.

Buy a big pack of cedar planks off Amazon and use a regular bic for that.

what's wrong with a wooden match? You should really be lighting cigars with cedar, anyway

Yeah, try doing that outside with a nudge of wind.

Get a cheap Vertigo lighter.

Xikar has gone to shite since they got bought out, and their warranty process is horrible now.

This is true.

I have several that I've accumulated over time. I will say if you wanna just have one for daily use, Lotus makes a good product that is about half the price and their reps are very good about replacing one with any issue. I took mine to the shop where I bought it and the owner called the rep and she mailed a replacement no questions asked.

When I bought my second one, the cigar lady asked if I had my bad one. Said she would replace it free.
I already trashed it. Cheap enough

I have a few. Good, if not great lighters.

Edit: after reading the comments. Mine are 10-15yrs old and I’ve had no problems. I can’t verify if they suck or not now.

Go to Home Depot or Lowes and get a Bernzomatic butane pen torch. I've had one for years and it's never had an issue. Keep one in my truck and one in my kitchen as a general purpose lighter. I've tried Zippos, tobacco store specials, Bics, etc. They have a lot more fuel capacity than typical butane lighters too.

shite man…. Buy what you want. If you want something more than $20 then get after it. I wanted something nice and something I could light at the camp or in a blind without worry b/c of the wind. I found a good deal on this ST DuPont, so I jumped on it. Much better than the price on the link. It has great reviews. Xikar makes several good lighters as well.
