A, they are too lazy

I need all my fuel receipts to turn into boss man, I get so frustrated when I have to go in for it!

How often do you find a discrepancy? How large are the discrepancies on average?

Jokes on them. The first time I check tire pressures I don't out them back on.

You weren’t spending money anyway. If you were, you’d set the pump and then go in while your car fills up.

If you are waiting to fill up and take your receipt before going in, you were never going in.

Yeah, let me leave the car unattended so the pump can malfunction

Sounds like a brilliant idea

I think it’s the fact that most stations have one dude working a shift a they’re usually a recovering/active addict or an old person so they can’t/don’t refill the receipt paper.

I have to turn in receipts for my company card. If it doesn’t print I take a pic of the pump display and turn it in with everything else.

That ever happen to you?

Haven’t seen that in 25+ years of pumping gas.

I get receipts. Im somewhat anal and still keep a check register. I keep the receipts in my wallet till I log the transactions in the register. I compare my record with the banks once or twice a week.

I used to go inside and get a receipt but then got tired of doing it and started taking a picture of the pump for my expense reports.

Accounting hasn’t said anything after a few years and 120K miles.

Same thing happened to me at the Discount on Vets by Bonnabel, but at least I was close to the car and stopped it pretty quickly. Hadn’t gone into the store, just put on the little click thing and wasn’t looking at it when it happened.

I go to that Discount Zone.

Not far from the McMansion.

Same. I spent years dealing with the "Clerk has receipt" BS. Stripes convenience stores were/are almost unanimously out of paper. The day I found out accounting would accept a photo of the pump, was like Independence Day

I do. I expense the majority of my fuel.

Guess you have never had to turn in expenses or own a business where you keep the receipts for tax purposes.

Ok boomer. You have credit card receipts these days.

As someone who regularly drives rental cars and submits expense reports, it is a sure fire way to get me to not spend any money inside of your business

100% this.

I usually refill my rental as I’m headed to the airport for an early flight home on work trips and having to walk inside while I’m still half asleep for my receipt is infuriating.

IF water is in the gas and kills your car, you might need it.

Traveling on orders, either using a rental car or a govt vehicle, have to submit fuel receipts for reimbursement.
