Oh for the love of god. Play coy. This economy sucks. Stocks are kinda stuck in the mud..doing ok I guess. Home values are way up but no one can use that equity as rates are also way up. For the last 3 years people with student loans haven’t had to pay at all. Car loan rates, prices and availability all suck. Food seems like it’s doubled in price. Energy is near all time highs.
And you on here talking about “just be thankful, change your circumstances”..in a thread about some CNN propaganda about how wealthy we all are.

401K is positive for a change, that means we only lost 3 years worth of interest right? (so they have some unrealized capital gains to tax from them too?)

That’s pretty bad in historical terms. But there have certainly been worse periods. I’m not blaming Biden but this CNN article is an attempt to blow smoke up peoples asses. Americans feel the pinch. This new found “wealth” is the type that costs people money each month in taxes.
