Because I left work early Friday for not feeling well. Knew I had to get tested before returning.

Jesus, the incompetence! Your daughter could test negative tomorrow and five days later, and still bring CV-19 home. You must wait until her roommates are no longer possibly contagious - not sure, but I think that’s after they no longer have symptoms plus three days or so. That’s after Thanksgiving. Then your daughter should wait about three more days and get a negative test; THEN she can come home.

If you want her home for Thanksgiving, rent a hotel room, so she can isolate from her roommates. Let her live there until Wednesday afternoon. Then she takes a test. If it’s negative she can come home.

Don’t accept my numbers, though. Run it by a health care worker who is knowledgeable about this.

No...it can take up to 14 days.

You can be Covid positive for up to 14 days and test negative for all 14 of them?

I asked a question.

The guy said his daughter tested negative and will test again before she comes home and if negative again will go home and a bunch of people said she shouldn’t go and can be a spreader even after testing negative twice .

I’m just confused.

Most people don’t know how to use face masks correctly, and a rush to buy masks could prevent the people who need them most — health care providers — from getting them

From your own link.

Early in the pandemic there were concerns that the limited supply of masks could lead to a shortage among healthcare workers. Which is why the CDC advised against wearing masks.

Now there are plenty of masks, so the recommendations have changed. Criticizing the CDC for making different recommendations based on different situations and limited knowledge of the virus makes no sense.

Most heart conditions aren't going to get worse or kill her with getting corona. Corona is like a mild flu so would you keep your daughter home if she had the flu?

Corona is very different for different for people. For many it is a mild flu but as an ICU RN that sees the shite, it can be so much worse. Still won't forget my first covid patient. 50 years old who was fairly healthy, paralyzed from the neck down from Covid induced neuropathy. The person is now in a nursing home learning how to walk and talk again. I have seen 4 or 5 people survive only to end up with end stage pulmonary fibrosis which is something you can only fix with a lung transplant but these people are still so sick and weak they will never get one.

If you get severe covid, your heart is going to be massively stressed. I get that people need to live their lives but there is living your life and then there is taking unnecessary risks. This is an unnecessary risk.
