If this strain is 5x more transmissible than Delta but 1/5 as likely to produce a serious reaction, than this can be like Delta. It does seem to be everywhere.
This wave will likely spike and drop rapidly.

We had positive tests in our house on 12/22. I can tell you right now, on 12/26, not one person is “sick.”
I know some people will get hit hard, but every single person I know, including us, got over this in just a few days.
Try to avoid it, but people need to understand it’s not a death sentence. My in laws and my mom were mortified when we had to cancel Christmas. I had to show them my Covid positive daughter doing cartwheels to illustrate my point.

Ha. Maybe I’m just a little bitch. I just don’t like being sick and haven’t been sick in a while. Tonight symptoms are a lot less than the last two nights, although I’m still having trouble sleeping.

Until they remove incidentals and asymptomatic people from this count, it’s completely useless to tell us the real impact.
Look at it this way. If every person doing a procedure or who goes in for cancer treatment or anything else gets tested, then we have a situation where hospitalizations (and deaths) will ALWAYS increase when cases increase simply because the odds go up they these people who are there for other reasons have Covid and don’t know it.
It’s a fricking sham.
