Is anyone reporting influenza cases this year or did Covid cure influenza?

Multiple sites, including this one, multiple times.

Somebody make an argument why it is necessary to report a July positive test in August

Why do I need to know this? Why does anybody?

If they want to add them to the official cumulative tally, fine. BUT....do not factor them into the daily numbers and the rolling averages which are both used to directly set policy. That is book cooking and disingenuous no matter how you look at it. It should not be done the way they are doing it.

But at least they are releasing the information and noting where it came from. It isn’t like they are just saying 5361 positive tests were taken yesterday.

On Sunday, when nobody's watching. Then tomorrow, the tyrants will use the 5361 cases as reason to impose their will.

Epidemiology.

It’s not the science/process’s fault that every one has a reactionary hard-on to the 24 hr news cycle and make in game “scary graphs”

Hell, flu data is still coming in a year later sometimes. They don’t complete their processing and analysis of a flu season until 3-4 years after you read the head line of the initial preliminary estimates

You literally are saying “Hey, if it can’t be used as a ammo one way or another today than it shouldn’t be used for anything.”

I don't care about positive tests. I care about hospitalizations and deaths. Obviously those are too low to shock anyone so they aren't reported. "New cases spike" is the narrative to push.

I am in a walkable part of Dallas and see people walk by my house all the time and not once have I seen anyone wearing a mask outside

I am going to call you "liar, liar pants on fire"

If you have not seen it, then you must be locked up in your house. I have been all over DFW and it is the same. People driving alone with windows up and mask on. Walking dogs, biking, walking and jogging with masks on.

Sit at any trail for 1 hour and you will see multiple.

I agree it is not the majority at all, but it is a bold face lie to say you are not seeing it in Dallas.

Dallas county is more compliant than the surrounding suburb counties.
