F. I'm headed to St. Lucia on 8/30. Am I fricked?

I don't see anything in his post that makes it seem like he wants it to form. It's a post filled with interpretation of what the models and data are suggesting....
RDS.... Ignore them and keep posting, please.

Must be your first time posting in a hurricane thread. RDS knows his shite.

Is there any chance this could affect the LSU home opener?

Yeah, I don't understand why people get their panties in a wad every time we have these threads. Most people like reading the commentary and updates from theses folks.
If it bothers one to have to see it, then maybe they can not read it.

Depends on where you're staying on the island. If your resort is up on a mountain, may have trouble getting there by car. Boat or chopper.

For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico:
Thunderstorm activity associated with an area of low pressure
located several hundred miles west-southwest of the Cape Verde
Islands has continued to become better organized this morning.
Environmental conditions are conducive for additional development,
and only a slight increase in organization would result in the
formation of a tropical depression later today while the system
moves westward to west-northwestward at 10 to 15 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...high...90 percent
* Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent

It's gonna slam into Grand Isle on September 5th, per all the models. Les Miles has lost control of hurricane season.

I wouldn't even go. If you go, you'll have to cancel those plans. If you go, you'll get stuck there in mudslides and floods. If you go, you'll die. If you die, your heart will stop beating.

I always love the "I have plans to do ____, should I be ok" posts that pop up in these threads....

What a weird way to summarize Katrina
A BR centric view.
Yes, those summaries are specific to the Baton Rouge area and how it was affected by each of those storms. Didn't mean to take anything away from NOLA, the northshore, or Mississippi.
