I recently left and the wind is now blowing and that shite goes right through you. Its 48F but I swear it feels much colder.

Wait for that 20 degree wake-up in the morning, good day to stay home if you can.

Do what I do. Alarm every 2 hours. Go outside and check EVERYTHING. You aren't going to freeze to death in 10 minutes outside. Make sure every pipe still leaking, break any ice cicles that might grow up into the fitting, run the washing machine, etc.

Sounds insane, but you'll sleep good those 2 hours intervals knowing you just checked everything. I've been under the house with a hair dryer at 5 am on a 20* morning saving my shite from busting. Never again.

From 8:45 to 9:45 we went from 48.2° to 32.7°, a 15.5° drop in an hour.

Highest gust was 45mph with another of 41. Wind is now steady at 22.

It’s still in the 50s here in Pensacola- it won’t get below freezing until 4-5am ….so Im not stressing- just gonna put the remaining plants (herbs) in the insulated garage with a light on…should be fine
