Everyone managing the cold so far?

It’s 10 degrees with a wind chill of -10.

I just opened the door and said “frick that”. Looks like we have about 2 inches of snow and the wind is blowing right at the front of the house.

Didn’t expect a bunch on rain to dump on Baton Rouge at 6:00 PM. Not liking that with freezing temps. Should make the roads a shite show tomorrow
That little bit of rain has been dried for two hours now. And we’re still 10 above freezing with sustained winds.

Tomorrow’s roads will be the driest in the history of modern roads.

I expect nothing less of Shelbyville.

I’ll take that 37 degrees I had in J-Town back though.

So you think the bridges on I-55 and such going from northshore to new Orleans will be ok before sunlight?

In Little Rock with a wind chill of -11 and currently 7 degrees. My mom flew in from NOLA today and it was bumper cars all over the interstate trying to get home. Watched cars slam into barriers and eachother bc within an hour the overpasses turned to ice sheets.

Made it home with hot Chinese takeout, a mom, and three happy grandkids who ripped into presents while drinking hot chocolate by the fire as Home Alone was on in the background. Colder than anything I’ve ever felt before, even when I went skiing. Grateful for electricity blasting this warm air. The air outside is a level of cold that’ll chill you to the bone.

A major wildfire has erupted on Mustang Island in Corpus Christi, TX. Several homes are reportedly threatened as strong winds from the cold front push the fire.

That ain't good. You can't fight that shite in this kind of wind. They have winds of 30+ gusting to 45. Yeesh!

That’s terrible. I hope these people’s homes are spared.

I can’t even imagine trying to manage that and evacuate when it’s this cold.

A look at power outages across Alabama as of 10:30 CT. These outages are due to strong winds following the Arctic frontal passage...

One way to stay warm and keep the pipes from freezing.

I don't see the Capital Area Dodge Charger Association having the weekly meet up to close I-10 at Bluebonnet tonight.
