One in Slidell has a ton of shite. Just be prepared to spend some time, so much stuff to go through.
I first went there to get some cheap cigar/beach shirts and ended finding some great things.

The clothes at TJ Maxx (not Max simpleton) are cheap and stink.
They stink because any time you go to cheap brand brick and mortar stores, stinky arse people try on the clothes and then put them back.
Might want to change your shoppings habits.

This is definitely not a ot baller thread. Who the hell buys a shirt for $15? Are y’all house painters?
That’s how people with new money think.

I got some incredible deal on clothes there in 90s. Cashmere wool long london fog like coat for 40 bucks, Hart Schaffer Marx suits for 100 bucks, nice shirts and ties for like 10 bucks etc

That Cortana one was a gold mine of good deals if you didn’t mind wasting half the day searching through mostly pure junk

I’m not new money, nor old money.
But this place reeks of the poors.

I went there a handful of times but I just don't have the patience for that.

Not hardly. But I can paint if I want too. But for winter flannel shirts I could buy 8 nice shirts for 100.00 bill and get a few dollars back.

I’ve walked out of a Dillard’s clearance sale with 10 shirts for the price of 1. My brother and I usually call each other when we find the ridiculous sale that happens about this time each year. Never knew they had an actual clearance warehouse/storefront.
And to the other fella who likes BB- they usually do a pretty fantastic sale (~%60% off) a few times a year, too.
Some of us like to look nice enough without being trendy. And there’s nothing wrong with finding deals and saving money or knowing the quality you’re getting.

I’ve painted a few. Don’t think I’ve ever been paid to do it though.

It’s still open. And still great deals to be had. I think the one at Greenspoint is closed.

That’s still the case. Very humid and warm.
When they do the extra 40% off of what is already 65% off, the stuff is just stupid cheap.
As others have said, you have to be in the right frame of mind, especially if you’re looking for something specific. But damn well worth it if you’re looking to buy a good number of items.

Went to dillards tonight. Been needing some new men’s fashion for work, nothing stood out. The men’s summer collection is catered to the ugly cruise style, cheap Hawaiian looking
Nothing was on sale enough to spark my spend. The dress shirts and slacks looked pretty pitiful to be honest

Do they have a bunch of the Roundtree & Yorke button down shirts ?
Posted on 7/8/23 at 10:15 am to TutHillTiger
It’s really very random, often in a good way. I go looking for knockaround, exercise or whatever stuff and often find things that are actually really good. My top find is probably an Alpaca fur vest, retail $495, paid $99.

The one at Cortana had a whole back wall with all different sizes. Headed to the Slidell Clearance Center hoping for the same set up.

If you’re looking at it as a 3x3 grid, you’ll go to 2-3, 5-6. Roughly.

No. I run and own part of a $150 million dollar company. Searching for bargains on $15 shirts and driving 5-10 year old cars allowed me to have the money to be in the spot I’m in.
First off I’m as cheap as can be so good for you.
But your attempt at a flex sucks. If you were truly doing that well then your use of time with the amount of money you should be making is horribly spent.
If you sent an assistant down for you, maybe. But as others have pointed out, at some point well before running and owning a $150 mil valuation so I’m assuming you do $30-50mil a year revenue there’s a heck of a lot better options for someone in that supposed income range that just needs work button down shirts to do. Such as, S pointed out, finding a quality brand you like and simply ordering a lot of them anytime you see a sale.

These places are awesome if you need quantity and aren’t too picky. Go on Thursday afternoon when they put out all the newest arrivals. By Saturday it is tough to find anything you may want. Roundtree and York is my favorite brand, even at full price
