Just in case some may not know the backstory... I do remember this happening and the fallout from it. I enjoyed them losing their mainstream status. They play gay festivals and crap now.

Natalie is from a family with a strong Texas Music reputation and she had a great voice. I still like listening to their first album and their remake of Landslide.

The difference is, at least from what I am aware of, Cash voiced opposition to policies, events, etc without publicly personally bashing the President.
She made it personal. She could have voiced opposition to the war and left it at that. But she had to act like a juvenile and throw the “ashamed” bullshite in there.

i understand respecting the office but even so it was a pretty tame statement, especially by todays standards. feels like selective outrage to still be wound up about it. we gonna pretend no FJBs got thrown around at country concerts in the last 5 or so years?
