White male and in some cases white female DO’s are no worse than MD’s in the current age of the biased selection process of medical school admissions committees. I also feel this way about this cohort that trained on the Caribbean.
The crazy expansion of for profit DO schools is something else though. It is not the type of education I received at Vandy that is for sure

How did they get into med school? The majority of both MD and DO schools have pretty high admission standards with high scores on standardized testing being one of them>

It depends more on the quality of the training most med school students get beginning in year 3 of med school. They go on practical rounds as they start to hone in on their resident specialty

I only have white male doctors, dentist, etc. No one else is held to a higher standard and I want the best. This is the result of DEI in these types of professions. If blacks where held to a higher standard for admissions than whites, I would have all blacks.

Like a lot of jobs, on the job training is very important.

No and yes.
I want to see a doc that is experienced and well known in the community.
I don't want some clown who got through med school based on their race and/or sex.
Yes, their grades in Med school is important but I want a doc that has experience.
My doc that I loved and respected retired about 3 years ago.
He had been practicing for years and was very well respected in the community (Ouachita parish).
So I have been looking for a Primary care doctor for the last 2 years.
Most I have come across are 'pill pushers' or only interested in treating the symptom rather than prevention.
A family member told me that I am going to have to be my own advocate when it comes to my health. That stuck with me and I try to adhere to that every day.
Take care of yourself with a good diet, good exercise and annual and even biannual checkups with a good PCP.

Most of this county has no idea how fricked we are long-term in healthcare. The DEI admissions and handholding has fricked our supply of doctors for decades.
Doctors that never would’ve been accepted years ago now make it into medical school on race and gender alone, fail classes, magically get the chance to repeat them, and are sent along their way to frick up your healthcare.

The reason most of you did not care is because standards were never this poor. What you are seeing now and in the past few years is atrocious and there will be lots of malpractice as a result -you are damn right I care.
This. Healthcare is going to see a massive decrease in quality of care once the old white guys retire. Liberal universities have been pumping out retards for the sake of DEI for at least a decade now and it’s going to wreck this nation’s healthcare systems.

You would hope so, but that’s not the case. They are also ignoring STEP scores now when considering matching.

It matters to an extent. Above all certain threshold (higher than the girl in the video) it doesn’t really matter. There are a ton of people who can demolish a standardized test but are total dumbasses when it comes to application and navigating real world cases. A lot more goes into being a good doctor than what they can test for.

I’m not defending this chick with bad grades, but some of the worst doctors on Earth are old, overconfident white guys who look at you like a boat payment. Some of the better doctors I’ve been to are Indian women.

You ok with your doctor finishing last in his class in some Caribbean medical school?
