1965...I still have some of them. There was a magazine store in downtown BR...across from the courthouse.

Not the first, but I sure remember when the wife of our Congressman John Jenrette's wife Rita bared it all.

To me Kathy Ireland was the hottest by far. She was drop dead gorgeous.

Elle was kind of awkward and gangling, but nice. Cheryl Tiegs was ok and she was sucking up to former skier Billy Kidd the whole time at the party.

I was a regional manager for Campbell's Soup Co. back then and we were one of the sponsors of the Winter Olympics and were guest of SI.

SI threw a huge party with a band called Nick & The Nice Guys, it was a blast with everybody on the dance floor.

It was 9 degrees sitting in Olympic stadium for the opening ceremonies. Cold as crap and below zero with the wind blowing.

Funny thing, I sold a new pair of 501 Levis to a couple of crazy Russian guys for a hundred bucks. They were crazy about Levis back then.

No pics since we didn't have cell phones back then, but I have a VHS tape of the party that SI gave everyone.

I go back a good bit further because there was no showing of bushes when I first discovered Playboy. You got pics of beautiful women baring their breasts and butts, but bush was totally taboo at the time.

I don't remember the first playmate I ever gazed my eyes on, but I think it had to be in the early 60's since it was after my dad died, and he passed in 61. One of my uncles used to buy Playboy at a local newsstand and he'd carry it home in the brown paper bag so nobody knew he had bought it.

Times have changed for sure.

I bought the hardcover centerfold book (1953-2016) a while back:

Interesting to see how the "ideal" female form changed over time (as well as the waning and waxing of the bush). They certainly had some beautiful women in there.

As for first full frontal in 1/72 (mentioned in another post), they had been "hinting" at it off and on for a number of issues beforehand (just a little stray tuft at the top here and there).

Not the very first PM, but the most memorable was Barbi Benton (see p. 3 for pic). A goddess. It was about 1967-68, I think. I wanted to be lost forever in her amazing bush country. Still.

I believe Anna Nicole Smith may have been my first. She was quite impressive in her prime.

The best I've ever seen is Miss March 2001, Miriam Gonzalez. Lord, have mercy. Has anyone here seen this chick in her glory days? No pics; at work. Do the research, you won't be disappointed. Nice chalupas.

Fun Fact: She's now the wife of ex-NFL/UK QB Tim Couch.
The lucky bastard.

Hmmm. I'd say Patti McGuire, AKA Mrs Jimmy Conners.

Probably best to just remember her the way she once was- but that's how it goes....

For me, sometime around fall 1972, when my mom got re-married and we moved in with my new step-dad, who had a few issues (not hidden very well). I was a latchkey kid and remember finding them and looking through them in the afternoons after school.

Probably Miss July 1964 Melba Ogle, but it might have been China Lee.

Y'all do know that was Sheriff Harry Lee's sister, right?

We got lucky.

Toby Graham had a newspaper/magazine distribution business. So he got the Playboy returns, minus the cover. Since we were neighbors with his kids, we got to see quite a few of them. ;-)
