Not just a Cajun thing. Pretty standard across many parts of Europe. My family is Greek and it's a tradition there.

What you meant to say is that you can't spell it correctly even though you've been instructed on how to do so.

Dipshit.

It's Paquing. I think it is a waste. I made potato salad and deviled eggs with the colored Easter eggs. Cracking them is a waste of food. I would think most maw maws would think this was a sin wasting food, no?

How do you eat uncracked eggs?

Played last year for the first time with GF family.

This year had an undefeated egg! Won 8 times not that it really means anything.

In rural communities, to own the chicken that laid the egg with the hardest shell was a badge of honor akin to having the fastest quarter horse or the blue ribbon pig.

The game has played out in Cajun households for generations. I remember crying when my grandfather won all of the eggs from my Easter basket. Thinking I had somehow been tricked, I calmed myself with Gold Brick eggs. More on trickery later.

So it's a game for the trash, got it.

Nice!!! We use to play tourny style with money on the line. Set it up similar to a march madness bracket. It was a fun time for sure. Even better with a big family!
